Lap 33: Webber is now elevated to that third place his strategy has delivered, with Hamilton now fourth and Button fifth.
Lap 33: Sebastien Buemi has also been into the pits from 14th position.
Lap 33: They make quick stops and luckily resume seventh and eighth, ahead of the midfield train.
Lap 33: Meantime, Glock has been in and out of the pits. Kobayashi and Senna are out of the race and Klien pits this time from 20th.
Lap 33: Alonso leads Vettel as they begin to form up behind the safety car.
Lap 33: Replays show that Kobayashi appeared to lose his front wing entering the corner and understeered into the barriers.
Lap 33: The Sauber and HRT stranded on the racing line exiting Turn 18.
Lap 33: Kubica and Barrichello will make a stop. The pack is forming up, meaning they will tumble down the order.
Lap 33: Clearly, Kobayashi sustained damage. He crashes into the barriers at Turn 18 and is collected by Senna.
Lap 32: Replays show that on the lap before Schumacher stopped, Kobayashi had a massive go up the inside and the pair made heavy side-to-side contact.
Lap 32: Vettel has the bit between his teeth now and he's right with Alonso in a battle for the lead.
Lap 32: Barrichello is still ahead of Webber and is yet to stop in the Williams. His pace has been reasonable, helping Webber's cause.
Lap 31: Michael Schumacher pits from ninth position. He takes on the hard tyres and rolls away.
Lap 31: Rosberg pits and will also fall behind Webber and the McLaren pair.
Lap 31: It's an interesting decision from Red Bull to pit on the same lap as Alonso, giving up the opportunity of some fast laps from Vettel.
Lap 31: Replays show Vettel almost stalled on his getaway from the pits, but he is back in pursuit of Alonso on fresh rubber.
Lap 30: Heidfeld is a full 24.6 seconds behind Alguersuari in 16th, and has little chance of progressing without the help of a safety car.
Lap 30: Button now pits, putting Rosberg temporarily in the lead.
Lap 30: Vettel is slow away, keeping Alonso comfortably ahead.
Lap 30: Nick Heidfeld has finally passed Timo Glock and takes over 17th position, while it's all action up front.
Lap 30: That strategy gamble has paid off well for Webber and he is on course for the podium.
Lap 29: It's a quick stop, but he resumes in eighth and well behind Webber.
Lap 29: Hamilton finally pits his McLaren for the move to hard tyres.
Lap 28: Jarno Trulli is back into the pits from 23rd and last position. This is his third visit to the Lotus pit. He is wheeled back into the garage.
Lap 28: Webber is now just 20s behind Hamilton's McLaren and is almost certain to clear the slower cars once they pit.
Lap 28: Schumacher in ninth is continuously lapping around two seconds per lap slower the Mark Webber. Schumacher is now 14 seconds behind the Australian.
Lap 28: Vettel seems to think he has pace in hand, so is likely waiting to pounce once the leader stops.
Lap 27: Heidfeld slices up the inside of Glock at Turn 7. He makes it through, but runs wide and the Virgin driver retakes the place - 17th.
Lap 27: Up front, Alonso and Vettel are setting a dominant 1m51s pace with the gap between them now 2.6 seconds.
Lap 27: Both McLarens continue on a slow pace in the 1m54s as the rear tyres fade further.
Lap 26: Button is only 14 seconds clear of Webber as the latter's strategy looks like it will pay off when the McLarens pit.
Lap 26: Sutil is gradually eating into that gap between himself and Kobayashi. The German is now 12.4 seconds behind the 10th placed Japanese driver.
Lap 26: The Glock versus Heidfeld battle for 17th is the closest on the circuit currently. They pass the pits and going to another lap with Heidfeld unable to get close enough.
Lap 25: Hamilton sets a poor 1m54s lap, having to find his way past Senna's HRT. Webber is now 22.6 seconds behind, which is not yet enough to stop.
Lap 25: Heidfeld pulls to the inside and takes a look at the Virgin Racing driver at Turn 7, but isn't really close enough.
