Lap 20: Heidfeld's next target will be Glock, who is 4.7 seconds up the road in 17th.
Lap 20: Webber is not challenging Barrichello at all for seventh and seems to be waiting for the Brazilian to pit.
Lap 21: Schumacher has slipped to 5.2 seconds behind Webber. The German remains in ninth position, but has Kobayashi less than one second behind him.
Lap 21: Sutil in 11th is maintaining a distance of 14 seconds behind Kobayashi. He is unable to close down any of that gap so far.
Lap 21: Championship leader Webber is now 17 seconds behind Button and Rosberg, a further 3 seconds closer, who he will be looking to leapfrong when they stop.
Lap 21: Sutil is struggling the pace on the circuit. Hulkenberg in 12th, Massa 13th, Petrov 14th and Buemi in 15th can all run quicker than him.
Lap 22: Further back, Nick Heidfeld is quickly catching up to the back of Timo Glock and this will soon be a battle for 17th.
Lap 22: Webber is told he is racing Hamilton, who is 20s up the road. He is encouraged to have a go at Barrichello, who is now costing him time.
Lap 22: Heidfeld is now less than one second behind Glock as he catches up to the back of the Virgin.
Lap 22: Hamilton has faded to 15.1 seconds off Alonso's lead, which Vettel has closed to 2.8s in recent laps.
Lap 23: Schumacher is now almost two seconds per lap slower than Webber. He remains in ninth place, but is now 7.6 seconds down on the Australian.
Lap 23: Webber only just survives a very scary moment as he got a big wobble on under braking for Turn 18.
Lap 23: That was very close to disaster for Webber, but he's now back off in pursuit of Barrichello.
Lap 24: The race is beginning to settle down away from the championship contenders. Kobayashi is not able to do anything about Schumacher as they fight for ninth.
Lap 24: Sutil remains in 11th position, 14 seconds behind Kobayashi. Hulkenberg and Massa are in close attendance.
Lap 24: Petrov is 14th, but is now just over two seconds behind Massa, with Buemi 15th and Alguersuari 16th.
Lap 24: Hamilton is being told to find three tenths or half a second as McLaren try to cover the threat from Webber.
Lap 24: Hamilton has a lot of oversteer in that McLaren as his super-soft rear tyres begin to fade.
Lap 24: Glock is 17th and occupying the defensive strategy again - this time against Heidfeld who is all over the back of him.
Lap 25: Heidfeld pulls to the inside and takes a look at the Virgin Racing driver at Turn 7, but isn't really close enough.
Lap 25: Hamilton sets a poor 1m54s lap, having to find his way past Senna's HRT. Webber is now 22.6 seconds behind, which is not yet enough to stop.
Lap 26: The Glock versus Heidfeld battle for 17th is the closest on the circuit currently. They pass the pits and going to another lap with Heidfeld unable to get close enough.
Lap 26: Sutil is gradually eating into that gap between himself and Kobayashi. The German is now 12.4 seconds behind the 10th placed Japanese driver.
Lap 26: Button is only 14 seconds clear of Webber as the latter's strategy looks like it will pay off when the McLarens pit.
Lap 27: Both McLarens continue on a slow pace in the 1m54s as the rear tyres fade further.
Lap 27: Up front, Alonso and Vettel are setting a dominant 1m51s pace with the gap between them now 2.6 seconds.
Lap 27: Heidfeld slices up the inside of Glock at Turn 7. He makes it through, but runs wide and the Virgin driver retakes the place - 17th.
Lap 28: Vettel seems to think he has pace in hand, so is likely waiting to pounce once the leader stops.
Lap 28: Schumacher in ninth is continuously lapping around two seconds per lap slower the Mark Webber. Schumacher is now 14 seconds behind the Australian.
Lap 28: Webber is now just 20s behind Hamilton's McLaren and is almost certain to clear the slower cars once they pit.
Lap 28: Jarno Trulli is back into the pits from 23rd and last position. This is his third visit to the Lotus pit. He is wheeled back into the garage.
Lap 29: Alonso had a poor lap there, passing Kovalainen.
Lap 29: Hamilton finally pits his McLaren for the move to hard tyres.
Lap 29: It's a quick stop, but he resumes in eighth and well behind Webber.
Lap 30: That strategy gamble has paid off well for Webber and he is on course for the podium.
Lap 30: Alonso and Vettel pit together!
Lap 30: Nick Heidfeld has finally passed Timo Glock and takes over 17th position, while it's all action up front.
