Lap 73: The Chandhok-Trulli battle for 14th continues but shows no sign of changing. The gap is maintained at 0.5 seconds.
Lap 72: Liuzzi sets another personal best lap in tenth and that could be enough to see off the Toro Rosso challenge from Buemi and Alguersuari for the final point - providing there are no hiccups in the last five laps.
Lap 71: Vettel takes fastest lap away from his team-mate with a 1m15.192s. Webber remains over five seconds in the lead.
Lap 69: Petrov is 13th, one lap down and then comes this titanic scrap for new team honour with Chandhok still holding off Trulli for 14th.
Lap 69: Alonso's pace has drifted to mid-to-late 1m16s as the Spaniard nurses very old tyres to the finish.
Lap 69: Sutil is eight seconds down on Rosberg but holding onto ninth easily, with Liuzzi tenth and now slowly drawing away from the Toro Rossos.
Lap 68: 10 laps remaining in Monaco and the top eight is Webber from Vettel followed by Kubica, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso, Schumacher and Rosberg.
Lap 68: Trulli loses a little ground to the HRT in the first sector each lap, but very quickly makes it up again to be less than 0.5s behind each time they come past the pits.
Lap 66: The gap between Chandhok and Trulli is just 0.3s as they cross the line and battle on into another lap.
Lap 66: As Webber cools his pace, Vettel is unable to back off as Kubica keeps up the pressure from behind.
Lap 65: Trulli dropped to 3.4 seconds behind Chandhok in traffic as they slowed to let faster cars through, but the Italian quickly zooms up to the back of the HRT once again.
Lap 64: Webber is told on the radio it is time to think about looking after his car and particularly the brakes.
Lap 64: Buemi and Alguersuari both set personal best laps as they try to keep in touch with tenth placed Tonio Liuzzi.
Lap 63: Behind Massa, Hamilton fifth and Alonso sixth are cruising to the finish with little threat from the Mercedes pair behind.
Lap 63: Heikki Kovalainen has now officially retired from the race.
Lap 63: Those stops promote Chandhok to 14th with Trulli still on his gearbox in 15th. This becomes the battle for new team honour today.
Lap 62: Webber is now 6.2 seconds ahead of Vettel while Massa has caught up to this developing fight.
Lap 62: Kovalainen is also in for a long time and he has some mechanical problem.
Lap 62: Heavy traffic has cost Vettel badly and Kubica is right with the Red Bull.
Lap 61: Senna is in trouble and the HRT mechanics push his car back into the garage. Senna's first run at Monaco would appear to be over.
Lap 61: Kovalainen and Senna pit from 14th and 15th positions.
Lap 60: Tonio Liuzzi sets his fastest lap of the race - 1m16.918s. This helps him to stave off the attack from the Toro Rossos as the fight rages for 10th.
Lap 60: Kubica almost matches Webber on pace as he begins to harry Vettel for second.
Lap 59: Senna sets his best lap of the race so far and he pulls the gap on Chandhok to 2.6s. Trulli is almost one second quicker than Chandhok on that lap and has the gap to the HRT down to well under one second.
Lap 59: Kubica, third, continues to keep second-placed Vettel honest on a very impressive weekend for the Pole.
Lap 59: Bruno Senna is 15th in the HRT but has fallen to 20 seconds behind Kovalainen. Chandhok is two seconds behind his team-mate and Trulli is just 1.4s behind the Indian, in 17th place.
Lap 58: Alguersuari is 12th and holding onto Liuzzi and Buemi. Petrov is one lap down in 13th. He is nine seconds ahead of Kovalainen, 14th.
Lap 58: 20 laps remain in the Monaco Grand Prix.
Lap 57: No such problems for Webber as he draws 4.5 seconds clear of Vettel with another fastest lap.
Lap 57: Adrian Sutil in ninth has fallen to over four seconds behind Rosberg. Liuzzi is three seconds further back in tenth, with Buemi 11th.
Lap 57: Schumacher has closed back up on Alonso's Ferrari and the Spaniard's degrading tyres could be one of the few points of interest here.
Lap 56: Trulli closes to just 0.5s behind Chandhok, but the Indian responds to take that buffer back up to 1.2 seconds as they battle over 16th.
Lap 55: Hamilton has fallen 2.8 seconds off the back of fourth-place man Massa as the gaps continue to stretch in the top 10.
Lap 54: Webber continues his commanding drive from the front, pulling four seconds clear with a rapid 1m15.99s.
Lap 52: The gaps are becoming spread out with only two exceptions. Buemi in 11th has team-mate Alguersuari close behind and down in 16th Chandhok is holding off a strong attack from Jarno Trulli.
Lap 52: Webber continues to trim the fastest lap with his latest tour a 1m16.310s.
Lap 51: Liuzzi responds to his dropping pace with his fastest lap of the race so far. Buemi in tenth is now over one second behind him.
Lap 50: Alonso is again falling back from that pair on his worn tyres and Schumacher is right on the Ferrari's gearbox.
Lap 50: Massa is the fastest man though the first sector with Hamilton still chasing him in the battle for fourth.
Lap 50: Webber is already 3.1 seconds clear of his team-mate with a new fastest lap of 1m16.505s.
