Lap 59: The one-stopper race down the field that we have spent a lot of time monitoring, was won by Sebastien Bourdais.
Alonso was indeed released into seventh position, with Bourdais eighth, Fisichella almost three seconds behind him in ninth. Nakajima lost out heavily in that strategy battle and runs tenth, with Glock just behind him in 11th place.

Lap 59: Jenson Button continues to lead with team-mate Barrichello back up to second as the Brawns reign supreme in Monaco.
Kimi Raikkonen is still in front of team-mate Massa, whose longer fuel in the middle stint failed to pay off as he got held up behind Button.

Lap 58: Massa resumes fourth, ahead of Rosberg, with Webber slotting in behind the Williams.
Lap 58: Much earlier in the race, Hamilton touched Nick Heidfeld in a battle for position at St. Devote. It turns out he has been soldiering on with a slightly damaged front wing for the last 40 laps.
With the new nose fitted, Hamilton might now be able to demonstrate the kind of pace he had in the early laps.

Lap 54: The McLaren of Kovalainen got out of shape over the entry kerbs and slewed into the inside barrier.
Heikki's car is craned away.

Lap 53: This is bad news for Felipe Massa, who is now held behind a heavy car and unable to challenge his team-mate.
Lap 53: Sebastien Bourdais pits finally from eighth place in the Toro Rosso. The crew work quickly and send the Frenchman back out ... and he's through!
Bourdais rejoins just ahead of Nakajima and the pair are now scrapping hard for tenth place.
Great work from the Toro Rosso crew.

Lap 47: Bourdais and Fisichella continue round yet again and are into the 47th lap on this tank of fuel, as they continue in eighth and ninth places.
Fernando Alonso in tenth has now caught this pair and will soon be getting held up.
Kazuki Nakajima in 11th is maintaining that 16 second gap to the two one-stoppers, driving really well on a heavier tank of fuel in the Williams. Nakajima is likely to retain track position over Bourdais and Fisichella when they stop.

Lap 34: Felipe Massa sets the fastest lap. He may have a little more fuel on board than team-mate Raikkonen as Kimi was told on the radio to get a move on.
Lap 33: Those one-stoppers must, however, be worried about a very long stint on the super-soft tyre, which combined with a heavy fuel load could prove a handful.
Lap 33: Fernando Alonso is currently 11th but will leapfrog the three ahead of him when they all come in soon.
Nick Heidfeld, Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock haven't stopped yet either and run in 12th, 13th and 14th places.
