Lap 30: Luca Badoer and Romain Grosjean pit together. Grosjean passes the Ferrari as the pair exit the pitlane - a move that will please the Frenchman as he has been staring at the back of the F60's rear wing for some laps.
Lap 29: Lewis Hamilton leads by 4.1 seconds from Rubens Barrichello. Kovalainen is third, from Raikkonen, Rosberg and Alonso.
Lap 29: The closest battle on the track currently is between Robert Kubica and Adrian Sutil as they fight over 11th spot. The gap between them is 0.6 seconds.
Lap 28: Trulli and Badoer run 14th and 15th and have yet to stop. Grosjean is 16th and also due in soon. Alguersuari is 17th having recently been in for service, with Glock 18th and unable to make any headway after stopping in the pits at the end of lap 1.
Lap 27: Hamilton responds with a much better lap, opening the gap to four seconds.
Lap 27: Giancarlo Fisichella is up to eighth, having not come in yet. Jenson Button is still behind the Italian in ninth, with the long-fueled Nakajima up to tenth, Kubica 11th, Sutil 12th and Nick Heidfeld in 13th.
Lap 27: Lewis Hamilton's latest lap was not particularly good, with some graining evident on his super soft rear tyres. Hamilton needs to keep a gap to Barrichello as the Brawn will stop later at the second stops.
Lap 26: Sebastien Buemi pits from 19th place in the Toro Rosso and rejoins.
Lap 25: Sebastian Vettel said earlier today that he couldn't afford any more engine failures. Just hours later it has happened. The young German is out of the race with a blown motor and this will be a huge relief to Jenson Button.
Lap 25: Vettel is coasting with smoke from the Red Bull ..
Lap 25: Jaime Alguersuari has also been in for his first stop from 15th place. This releases Vettel into that position, and gives Trulli some free air.
Lap 24: Lewis reports on the team radio that his rear brake temperatures are a little high.
Lap 24: Hamilton leads by 3.6 seconds as he pulls away from Barrichello by a couple of tenths per lap.
Lap 24: Sutil jumps Heidfeld in the pits! Great work by the Force India crew sees Adrian gain track position over quick Nick and they resume in 12th and 13th places.
Lap 23: Sutil and Heidfeld head in for their first stops.
Lap 23: Sebastian Vettel is all the way down in 16th place and stuck behind the heavily-fueled Trulli and Alguersuari, as they continue to run closely in 14th and 15th positions.
Lap 23: Nick Heidfeld is up to fourth in his BMW, with several laps to go before his stop. Adrian Sutil in the Force India has followed him up to fifth ahead of his stop.
Lap 22: Mark Webber pits the Red Bull, and he comes out with track position over Button. Webber gets just ahead of Fisichella, with Button just behind the Force India in 11th.
Lap 21: Barrichello has easily cleared Kovalainen and is quite close behind Hamilton's McLaren.
Lap 21: Meantime, at the rear of the field Romain Grosjean has caught Luca Badoer again as they prepare to fight over 17th place.
Lap 21: Rubens pits, remaining on the softer tyres.
Lap 21: Barrichello continues to push in his light Brawn. He is 16.8 seconds ahead of Hamilton but more significantly 22.9 seconds in front of Kovalainen and likely to jump by.
Lap 21: Jenson Button pits for service and he rejoins in 11th place. The championship leader has a lot of work to do now.
Lap 20: Kimi heads back out on the softer rubber.
Lap 20: The order is changing as the stops continue. Jenson Button is catching Mark Weber again as their first stops approach. They are fighting over fifth with Kovalainen emerging seventh after his stop, Heidfeld eighth, Sutil ninth and Alonso in tenth after his first stop of the afternoon.
Lap 20: Kimi Raikkonen pits his Ferrari from second on the road.
Lap 19: Rubens Barrichello sets the fastest lap, having been released into the lead by the pitting McLarens.
Lap 19: Hamilton has been fortunate to emerge ahead of Webber and Button and has clear track in front of him.
Lap 19: Sebastian Vettel pitted on the same lap as Hamilton, but a problem with the fuel rig meant that no fuel went into the Red Bull, and he has needed to come back in again for juice on the very next lap. Vettel has lost a lot of time and places, and his chance of points this afternoon has been shattered.
Lap 18: Kovalainen pits his McLaren, heading out with more super soft tyres. He needs to sprint to remain ahead of Barrichello.
Lap 17: Robert Kubica pits from ninth place in the BMW. He drops down the order following a routine stop.
Lap 17: Heikki Kovalainen now leads but is due to stop.
Lap 17: Lewis takes more of the super soft rubber and resumes in sixth on the road.
Lap 17: Mark Webber is running safely in eighth place at the back end of the points. The gap to Button is just under two seconds, with Kubica now slowly dropping back behind the Brawn driver.
Lap 17: The McLaren mechanics are in the pitlane as Hamilton heads in.
Lap 16: Romain Grosjean pulls almost two seconds on the gap to Luca Badoer in front of him. The gap was 10 seconds after the Frenchman spun away his chance to challenge for 17th, but now he has the gap down to six seconds.
Lap 15: Heikki Kovalainen is now 6.7 seconds behind the leader, with Barrichello almost two seconds further back.
Lap 15: Hamilton again sets the fastest lap as he approaches his first stop.
Lap 15: Jaime Alguersuari has made a mistake on the last lap and dropped back to 3.4 seconds behind Jarno Trulli. Previously, the pair had been embroiled in a fight over 15th place.
Lap 14: It is now a tough ask for Barrichello to make up the sizable gap to Hamilton in the few laps between their respective stops.
