Lap 46: Luca Badoer pits for the final time from 17th position in the Ferrari. A short stop for the Italian and he can also drive for the line, albeit way down the field and two laps down.
Lap 46: Sebastien Buemi has spun away his race at the back of the field thanks to brake problems at the end of the long back straight. The car slides safely to a standstill, but the Swiss driver is out.
Lap 46: Rubens Barrichello leads by over six seconds from Lewis Hamilton. Kimi Raikkonen's longer strategy has allowed him to jump past compatriot Heikki Kovalainen.
Lap 45: That traffic did cost Webber! He's fallen behind Jenson Button's Brawn.
Lap 44: Webber and Heidfeld also join the scramble to the pits.
Lap 44: Nico Rosberg pits from second for his fuel to the flag.
Lap 44: Romain Grosjean pits for the final time this afternoon from 14th place. It's a short stop and now the Frenchman can start the run to the flag.
Lap 44: Button can only hope that the traffic ahead of Mark Webber can help him leap the Australian.
Lap 43: Fernando Alonso makes his final stop from fourth, as Button also pits.
Lap 43: Robert Kubica did manage to stay ahead of Adrian Sutil in that round of stops. The Pole is 10th with Sutil 11th, Fisichella 12th, Trulli 13th and Grosjean keeping it on the island in 14th position.
Lap 43: Jenson Button remains on the tail of Webber's Red Bull but is due to stop this lap, earlier than his rival.
Lap 43: Kazuki Nakajima did make it back to the pits with his tyre-less Williams. The crew put new tyres on and the Japanese is on his way, but now down the list in 19th place.
Lap 42: Hamilton is third, six seconds behind the leader after that disaster in the McLaren pits.
Lap 42: Nico Rosberg is currently second ahead of his final stop.
Lap 42: Robert Kubica comes into the pits from ninth position. He will be looking to stay ahead of Adrian Sutil as we move into the last 17 laps of the race.
Lap 41: Rubens is out on the super soft rubber, well ahead of Hamilton and en route to his first win of the year.
Lap 41: Barrichello pits for what should be the winning stop from Brawn.
Lap 41: Kazuki Nakajima has a left-rear puncture on his set of super-soft tyres and is crawling back to the pits. The tyre has shredded and the Japanese will do a good job to bring the car back for fresh rubber.
Lap 40: Barrichello has a 22.8 second advantage over Hamilton as he continues on his run to the final stop.
Lap 40: Adrian Sutil has had a really strong run in 10th behind Kubica. The German pits for the second time and is out after a total pitlane time of 22 seconds. Now lets see if he can keep the gap to Kubica.
Lap 40: Heikki has resumed behind Hamilton and Alonso in sixth.
Lap 39: Kovalainen makes his final stop as Barrichello sets the fastest lap.
Lap 39: Hamilton has also resumed from that bodged stop behind the longer-running Rosberg.
Lap 39: This has handed the advantage to Barrichello, who has several laps to set up a winning gap before his stop.
Lap 38: It is a very slow stop for McLaren as they didn't have the tyres ready for Lewis!
Lap 38: Hamilton heads in for his final stop.
Lap 37: Luca Badoer's pace is beginning to drop off after that pitlane penalty. Now we see him recovering from a spin. He loses six seconds on that lap and stays in 18th place.
Lap 37: Rubens Barrichello again sets the fastest lap as the Brazilian continues to keep Hamilton under pressure.
Lap 36: The main interest in the points places is Jenson Button continuing to close on Mark Webber for seventh as the title contenders try to get as many points as they can.
Lap 36: Things are static behind the lead pair, with Kovalainen, Raikkonen, Rosberg and Alonso all well spaced out.
Lap 36: Jarno Trulli pits from 12th place - a very long first stint for the Italian. He was 25 seconds ahead of Jaime Alguersuari and should easily maintain track position over the young Spaniard.
Lap 35: Rubens Barrichello sets the fastest lap as he closes the lead gap to just under four seconds.
Lap 35: Timo Glock pits for the first and possibly only time from 15th place, as we see Luca Badoer coming in to take that penalty for crossing the white line at the exit of the pits.
Lap 34: Fisichella's recent stop releases Jenson Button into eighth place. The championship leader is less than two seconds behind Mark Webber, who he has been battling with all race.
Lap 34: The gap between Hamilton and Barrichello is now 4.5 seconds as Rubens is told he needs to close the gap to two seconds to make use of his additional fuel.
Lap 33: Luca Badoer has been handed a drive-through penalty for crossing the white line when he was coming out of the pits. The infringement took place just seconds after Grosjean had nailed him in the pitlane.
Lap 33: Giancarlo Fisichella continues to run in eighth spot .. and here he comes into the pits. An unspectacular middle portion of the race for the Italian and he rejoins down the order - way behind team-mate Sutil who is once again doing very well.
Lap 32: Kazuki Nakajima pits for the first time and loses his tenth position to Robert Kubica.
Lap 32: Jaime Alguersuari is pushing hard with fresh tyres after his pitstop. He is 24.7 seconds behind Jarno Trulli and Toyota will be desperate to keep ahead of the Toro Rosso when they bring Jarno in.
Lap 30: Hamilton and Barrichello are matching each other's pace at the moment with the gap stable at four seconds.
