Lap 47: Giancarlo Fisichella comes into the pits from seventh ion the Force India. The Italian will be looking to try and get ahead of Nakajima. The gap between them before this second round of stops was four seconds.
Lap 47: Massa rejoins and he has made it out in seventh, ahead of Rosberg's Williams.
Lap 46: Massa is now right behind Barrichello, awaiting the Brawn's stop.
Lap 46: Lewis Hamilton is 14th and trying to pass Nelson Piquet, but he runs off the road at the Vale and loses a place to Nick Heidfeld.

Piquet is 13th with Heidfeld up to 14th as Lewis comes in to the pits for his second stop.
Lap 45: It is a clean final stop for the dominant race leader and he is back out for a run to the flag.
Lap 45: Nico Rosberg pits from fourth, releasing Massa on to a charge.
Lap 45: Sebastien Buemi comes into the pits for the second time this afternoon. He rejoins in 18th and last position.
Lap 44: Kimi Raikkonen pits, taking hard tyres for his run to the flag.
Lap 43: Kazuki is out after a quick stop in 11th place. Giancarlo Fisichella in ninth is beginning to catch Jenson Button! Timo Glock is tenth with Nakajima 21 seconds adrift.
Lap 42: The group of Barrichello, Rosberg and Massa continues to tighten up, which is putting Massa's Ferrari in a good position to move up at the final stops.
Lap 42: Outside the points, Kazuki Nakajima continues in ninth and Fisichella hasn't been able to bridge the gap. The Italian now has Glock in 11th right behind him as a battle shapes up between the two.

Nakajima now pits for the second time in the Williams.
Lap 41: Fernando Alonso comes into the pits again from 13th place, and here we have Bourdais back in again from 20th. The Frenchman also has more damage than the nose job and he retires.
Lap 40: Up front, Sebastian Vettel continues to dominate with a 18.6 second lead over team-mate Webber.
Lap 39: Heikki Kovalainen comes back into the pits again in the McLaren. Clearly there was more damage in that Bourdais incident than just a puncture. The McLaren driver turns into the garage and his race is over.
Lap 39: Felipe Massa continues to tail Rosberg as he remains close behind Barrichello. Massa pitted later than the pair of them at the first stops and will hope to run longer again at the final stop with the hope of jumping the pair of them to secure a place on the podium.
Lap 38: Kovalainen came in with a puncture after the heavy contact. He is now 19th, with Bourdais nine seconds behind him.
Lap 37: Both drivers rejoin the race but are now right at the back of the field. Bourdais pitted for a new nose, which was ripped off when he tagged the back of Kovalainen.
Lap 37: There is a lot of debris on the circuit after the recent clash between Kovalainen and Bourdais.
Lap 37: Kovalainen rejoins right in the middle of the scrapping Piquet-Hamilton-Bourdais action down the field.

Heikki lets Lewis Hamilton through and up into 15th place, but then the Finn is immediately rear-ended by Bourdais as they battle going into the Vale.

Bourdais has lost his nose, and Kovalainen also pits to inspect any damage at the back of his car.
Lap 35: Fernando Alonso passes team-mate Nelson Piquet and assumes 15th place, as Kovalainen and Sutil pit for their only time.
Lap 34: A man to watch here is Heikki Kovalainen. While chaotic scrap continues between Piquet, Alonso, Hamilton and Bourdais, the Finn has been quietly getting on with things in 12th. He has yet to stop, but now stands a good chance of jumping the lot of them when he eventually makes his one and only visit to the pits.
Lap 34: Nico Rosberg has closed on Barrichello's Brawn in recent laps in a battle over the final podium place. Felipe Massa is also being drawn into this battle.
Lap 33: Fernando Alonso has passed Lewis Hamilton again. We see Lewis making a slight error in Becketts and the Renault driver nips through as they travel down the Hangar straight. They are still fighting over 16th place.
Lap 33: Vettel leads at half distance as he cuts through a battle between Lewis Hamilton and the pair of Renaults.
Lap 32: Hamilton sends a move up the inside of Alonso at Luffield as the Renault runs wide.

Lewis holds his line and takes 16th place from the Spaniard, as the leader arrives to try and lap this lot. It's great action down the field at Silverstone!
Lap 32: Kimi Raikkonen continues to tail Trulli's Toyota in a scrap over sixth but the Finn is struggling to find a way by on the road.
Lap 32: Robert Kubica rejoins after his stop just ahead of the Sutil-Alonso-Hamilton fight.

Therefore, the pole has maintained track position over Hamilton after the stops, and has gained a position over Alonso, who will be mighty annoyed that he has been held up by the Force India.
Lap 31: Sebastian Vettel has heeded a call from the pits to take it easy to preserve his tyres, allowing Mark Webber to close the lead slightly in recent laps.

Vettel is still over 20 seconds in the lead.
Lap 30: The Sutil-Alonso battle has been closed down by Hamilton. The three of them are tied together in a great scrap for 16th place.
Lap 30: Sebastien Bourdais pits the Toro Rosso from 14th place. He should rejoin in 19th place somewhere close to Nick Heidfeld.
Lap 29: Outside the points, Kazuki Nakajima is ninth with Fisichella beginning to close the gap to him. Glock is 11th with Kubica 12th and yet to stop. Piquet 13th, Bourdais 14th, Kovalainen 15th and Sutil `16th have all yet to bring their cars in for service.

Alonso is still stuck behind Sutil in 17th and Hamilton is now just two seconds behind him. Heidfeld is 19th with Buemi bringing up the rear.
Lap 28: Jenson Button reports understeer on the harder tyres that the Brawn team have deployed for this stint. He is falling away from Raikkonen's Ferrari and is currently on for a single point in eighth.
Lap 27: Fernando Alonso in 17th is now being held up by Adrian Sutil, who hasn't stopped yet. This is allowing Hamilton and Heidfeld to close down the gap. Buemi runs 20th and last after his recent stop.
Lap 27: Nico Rosberg is fourth, ahead of Massa, Trulli, Raikkonen and Button, with those cars shuffling ahead of the early-stopping Nakajima.
Lap 26: Sebastian Vettel leads by 21.5 seconds over team-mate Mark Webber, who jumped past Rubens Barrichello's Brawn by running a lap longer to the first stop.
Lap 26: Fisichella was up as high as third before his first stop. He has rejoined the fight in 10th place, three seconds behind Nakajima. Both drivers have a good chance of scoring points this afternoon.
Lap 25: Massa takes more soft tyres and resumes behind Rosberg in fifth, moving up well with that late first stop.
