Mattias Ekstrom may have won the final stage at the 2026 Dakar Rally, but it was Nasser Al-Attiyah who grabbed the headlines by clinching his sixth overall victory of the event.
The Dacia driver topped the standings by 9m42s ahead of Ford's Nani Roma in second, despite winning just two of the 13 stages in Saudi Arabia.
That's because it was an extremely competitive edition of the Dakar, with 10 different drivers from five manufacturers scoring individual wins.
