Dakar: X-raid Mini retains Krysztof Holowczyc and Nani Roma

Kryzsztof Holowczyc and Nani Roma will stay with the X-raid Mini squad for next year's Dakar Rally

The German team dominated this year's event, with Stephane Peterhansel winning from Roma, and Holowczyc challenging for victory before falling to 10th with a series of mechanical problems during the second week.

Peterhansel and his co-driver Jean-Paul Cottret were confirmed as X-raid's lead pairing in May, while his team-mates have now also announced their participations in the South America-based event event.

"I'm on a promising path to making my dreams come true," said former European Rally champion Holowczyc, who will be co-driven by Filipe Palmeiro.

"I've got more experience under my belt, now, and the excellent Mini All4 Racing - so who should stop me now on my way to celebrating a major Dakar success?"

Spanish driver Roma, a Dakar winner on two wheels in 2004, will be co-driven by Michel Perin.

"For me, finishing this year's Dakar was extremely important," he said. "Making it to the bivouac every single day without losing a lot of time represented my top priority.

"The team did a fantastic job and the Mini All4 Racing ran perfectly throughout the event. Now I'm looking forward to again going for it in the Dakar together with X-raid."

The 2013 Dakar Rally starts in Peru's capital Lima on January 5 and heads through Argentina before finishing in Santiago, Chile, 15 days later.
