Nissan's Aiello fastest at test
In preparation for the final rounds of the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone tomorrow, championship leader Laurent Aiello set the fastest time in testing at the Northamptonshire track yesterday.
The Frenchman did a 1.22.865 in his Nissan Primera ahead of Volvo driver Vincent Radermecker, who managed a 1.22.946.
Aiello's championship rival and team-mate David Leslie was only fourth fastest with a 1.23.164.
Aiello will be hoping this gap continues throughout the weekend, as he looks to secure his first BTCC drivers' title in his first season in the series.
