Autosport Awards

The Autosport Awards are a series of awards presented by motor racing magazine Autosport to drivers that have achieved significant milestones each season. Some of the presentations are selected by the general public via a reader's poll.

Team boss Guy Frequelin paid tribute to his outstanding team and also praised former world champion Carlos Sainz who announced his retirement from the sport earlier this year.

"It's a great satisfaction to have a car fast on every surface, it's a great achievement," Frequelin said. "I'm very happy about this season because the team did a very good job. A French car, a French driver and the French tyres with Michelin - it's been a very good year for France!"

"But you can't forget Carlos [Sainz]. He was a very good entrant for Citroen. He is a great champion, a great spostman and a very good pilot and I'm very happy to have worked these last two yeass with him".
