Rally Driver of the Year is the latest category to open for voting in the 2018 Autosport Awards
Autosport Awards
The Autosport Awards are a series of awards presented by motor racing magazine Autosport to drivers that have achieved significant milestones each season. Some of the presentations are selected by the general public via a reader's poll.
Autosport Plus subscribers and Autosport magazine readers decide which motorsport stars win the annual awards, which are this year presented in London on the evening of Sunday December 2.

The 2018 World Rally Championship title battle has been the best in many years, with the three-way tussle between Thierry Neuville, Sebastien Ogier and Ott Tanak still too close to call with two rallies remaining.
All three are shortlisted for the Award, as is Tanak's Toyota team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala. Ogier has won this category for the past five straight years.
Their opposition includes a WRC legend: Carlos Sainz is nominated for claiming his second Dakar Rally victory in Peugeot's farewell year, beating not just growing opposition from Mini and Toyota but also an illustrious line-up of team-mates that included Sebastien Loeb and Stephane Peterhansel.
Also in the mix is Jan Kopecky, nominated for his outstanding performances in WRC2 this season.
