Ghinzani to miss 2014 Auto GP season
Ghinzani Motorsport has confirmed it will miss this weekend's Auto GP season opener in Marrakech and is not expected to return to the series in 2014
The Italian outfit had been linked to a move to the new Formula Acceleration 1 championship over the close season, and has confirmed that its focus in 2014 will be the Italian-based Targa Tricolore Porsche series and FA1.
Ghinzani joined Auto GP with Romanian GP3 race winner Robert Visoiu last season.
The team became a regular frontrunner when it expanded to a second car for former GP2 driver Kevin Giovesi.
The Italian won two races on the road, only to be hit by post-race penalties each time.
Giovesi will compete for newcomer Puma 3 M-Sport in Auto GP this season.
