Fredy Barth moves to Wiechers BMW for 2013 World Touring Car season

Fredy Barth will stay in the World Touring Car Championship to drive Wiechers-Sport's BMW this season

The 33-year-old Swiss driver contested the 2010 and '11 campaigns in SEATs, before returning with the Spanish brand in last year's Macau finale.

Barth now takes the Wiechers seat vacated by Stefano d'Aste's move to his own PB team.

"After last year's successful comeback in the season's finale at Macau, I am more than happy of having the possibility to take part in the full season again," said Barth.

"I am convinced that with the BMW and Wiechers-Sport we have the right package to successfully challenge not only for points, but for race victories."
