Race 2: Rydell takes it
Former British Touring Car champion Rickard Rydell scored SEAT's first victory in the ETCC in the second race at Oschersleben, as Dirk Muller extended his series lead to a commanding 12 points over Andy Priaulx with two races left to go in Dubai

The Swede dominated the race and was never headed having started from the outside of the front row. The Spanish manufacturer has been knocking on the door for several races now this year and a victory is no less than it deserves.
Both of Muller's rivals for the title, Priaulx and Jorg Muller were eliminated from the race in clashes with Alfa Romeo drivers, allowing the German to cruise home second in the knowledge that all he needs is podium finishes in the Arab state to take the title on October 8.
Augusto Farfus Jr was third for Alfa Romeo, the Brazilian having been involved in a clash with Priaulx while fighting for sixth place on lap three. The Guernseyman must be getting sick of the sight of the Italian cars, having been taken out by one two weeks ago at Imola as well.
Independent's title winner Tom Coronel completed a great weekend with a strong fourth place ahead of British Touring Car Championship star James Thompson who was involved in the demise of Muller. In fact the Alfa Romeo and the BMW clashed twice before Jorg was forced to stop on lap five.
Jordi Gene was sixth in the second of the SEATs ahead of privateer BMW driver Carl Rosenblad and factory Alfa star Fabrizio Giovanardi who had to fight his way through the field after his race one penalty.
