Tour de Corse - WRC Round six
Friday sees the WRC travel to Corsica for the 43rd Rallye de France - Tour de Corse and round six of the 1999 World Championship
Last month's Catalunya Rally was won by Philippe Bugalski, who became the first man in a decade to win a World Championship rally in a Formula 2 car.
Citroen led throughout the event, first with local man Jesus Puras and then with Bugalski, surprising the rest of the field. Top drivers Tommi Makkinen, who won the first two events of the season, and Carlos Sainz could only manage third and ninth respectively, and will be hoping to do better this weekend.
The rally kicks off at Ajaccio and takes in six special stages over 139.35km on the first day. The event then moves north, with a further six special stages, before returning to the original course for the final five stages.
