Stage 15: Burns closing as Solberg shines

Richard Burns is now just 6.7s away from retaking the lead of the Rally of Portugal, but Ford junior driver Petter Solberg was the star of the stage 15

The young Norweigan set the fastest stage time, getting closer to third placed team leader Carlos Sainz in the process.

Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm still leads but Burns has been eroding his advantage throughout the day and the Finn admits that there is little more he can do.

Further down the order, both Didier Auriol and Freddy Loix lost more time on the Piodao 2 stage. Both drivers have suffered nightmare days with a variety of problems, including a lack of brakes for Loix and steering difficulties for Auriol.
