SS7 Passo Teglia 1: Puras again

Citroen's Jesus Puras picked up where he left off on Friday evening, taking the first stage of the Sanremo Rally's leg two, the 14.32km Passo Teglia test

The Spaniard stopped the clocks in his Xsara in 10m25.6s, a second clear of the man who is pushing Puras hard in the overall standings, Gilles Panizzi in the Peugeot.

Peugeot team mate Marcus Gronholm was next up, followed by another Peugoet - local man Renato Travaglia.

The second Citroen of Philippe Bugalski was fifth fastest, four seconds off his team mate's pace and Carlos Sainz's Ford Focus rounded out the top six.

Sebastien Loeb and Didier Auriol held the seventh and eighth spots with Colin McRae, seven seconds behind Puras, in ninth. His team mate Francois Delecour was 10th fastest, with a time of 10m34.5s, not 24.5s as displayed in the results table.
