SS13: Burns by a fraction

Richard Burns took his turn at top again as he and Colin McRae continued to share the glory in Argentina. Burns and the Subaru Impreza were just 0.6s quicker through the 16.42km Las Bajadas stage than McRae and the Ford Focus, so the gap between the two Britons remains more or less where it was at the start of the leg

Carlos Sainz was third fastest for Ford with Frenchmen Didier Auriol and Francois Delecour next up in Ford and Peugeot machinery respectively.

Tommi Makinen was fifth fastest and is now closing in on Subaru's Petter Solberg for fifth place overall. Solberg was sixth fastest, but four seconds slower than Makinen.

Marcus Gronholm's form took something of a dive, from being second quickest and 0.1s away from McRae on SS12, the Finn plummeted to eighth fastest and 11.4s off the ultimate pace on SS13.

Gronholm's time was less than two seconds quicker than that of Alister McRae, who again set a top 10 time in the Hyundai as he attempts to make up ground after yesterday's fire.
