Solberg back to his bubbly best?

Solberg has been under intense pressure and scrutiny lately after a series of high-profile retirements since he joined Subaru late last year. He admitted after an early accident in Catalunya that he was 'thinking too much about just finishing' and promised to revise his approach.

At shakedown in Argentina, the former rallycrosser revealed that he'd used the big gap between Catalunya and this weekend's event to have a rethink. "I'm going to start the first stages as I always do - comfortable with my speed," he said. "But then I'm not going to look at the times or anything. That's been the problem in the past - I take a steady pace, then see that the times are good and realise what I'm fighting for.

"To be honest, I'm tired of people asking questions about pressure," he added. "I know what I have to do and this way, I think I can achieve it."

Solberg has only spent a couple of days near a rally car since Catalunya. But he is optimistic of a decent finish in Argentina - and wary of the watersplash that famously caught him out last year. "I've marked that in with a 'minus' after in my pacenotes now!" he joked.
