Service C - Ajaccio: Puras motivated
Jesus Puras (Citroen) - rally leader: "I had a good feeling at the start of that stage [SS3], so I pushed hard. But the last 10km were very bumpy and I was a bit worried about the protection under the car so I eased off. I'm very motivated, but I don't want to make any mistakes."
(Peugeot) - third, +11.1s: "It's not the Peugeot 206 that I know. I had 36km of understeer. But I had to use the handbrake 10 times to get round corners."
(Peugeot) - fourth, +32.3s: "I had something vibrating in the rear from about halfway that stage." The Finn also has a cracked windscreen that was discovered in Parc Ferme this morning and is getting worse as the day goes on.
(Subaru) - fifth, +41.5s: "I was a little bit unsure on harder tyres at the beginning of that stage. I've never driven on that tyre before."
(Ford) - seventh, +53.8s: "From the start of the stage we had a mousse problem and very bad vibration. My seat was even shaking and I couldn't see a thing."
(Mitsubishi) - eighth, +1m03.4s: "That was better. We tried a lot of new parts and it made it easier to drive. The rear end is much better, but we still have some understeer problems and we'll try to fix that now."
(Ford) 15th, +2m01.5s: "We used a different compound of tyre and we had no grip at all. There's really nothing else we can do. Roll on Australia."
(Subaru) 16th, +2m05.6s: "It was a new stage and there were a few places where I could have gone a little better, but we still wouldn't have been as quick as the French cars."
(Mitsubishi) - 21st, +4m46.7s: "We made a change to the rear differential and now it's better under braking, but it makes the understeer even worse."
