Service B - Ajaccio: story so far
Jesus Puras (Citroen) - rally leader: "The car is fantastic, but obviously I've already got experience of leading a rally [from Sanremo], so I want to concentrate on what's coming next."
(Peugeot) - second, +8.4s: "I had a puncture after 6km of the first stage and felt a vibration, but otherwise it is ok."
(Peugeot) - third, +8.7s: "The car felt nervous at the front end on the second stage, so I had no confidence to push."
(Peugeot) - fourth, +10.8s: Suffered a puncture on SS1 and had a vibration at the rear of the car on SS2. Suspected another puncture.
(Subaru) - fifth, +23.4s: "I'm very pleased with my position. We have solved much of the understeer we had in Sanremo." Solberg had a small off on the first stage and suffered a puncture 4km from the end of the second.
(Subaru) - eighth, +27.8s: "I didn't help when Toshio [Arai] was in the middle of the road. It hit my confidence because one of the blue cars was on its roof already."
(Mitsubishi) - 10th, +44.6s: "We needed some new parts between Sanremo and this rally, but there wasn't enough time. It is difficult to drive. The balance is nowhere. In some ways it is even worse than in Sanremo."
(Hyundai) - 12th, +51.0s: "The rally seems to suit the car more than Sanremo because the stages are more flowing and the surface is more abrasive."
(Ford) 17th, +1m32.2s: "I took a cut over some grass and there was a stone there and it gave me a puncture. I don't understand. We cut it twice in the recce and didn't see a stone. The tyre mousse didn't work so I had to drive 15km with a right front puncture."
(Subaru) 18th, +1m46.8s: Finished SS2 with front left wheel pushed back into the wheel arch. "I misheard a pace note. I thought it was two fourth gear right handers, but it was a fourth gear tightening into a third gear corner. We hit a rock wall."
