Makinen looks for first Rally GB win
Newly-crown world champion Tommi Makinen is hoping his title success will spur him onto the top spot of the podium at the Rally of Great Britain
The Mitsubishi driver won his fourth championship in succession at the recent Australian rally.
The Finn, who won the crown following the retirement of Toyota's Carlos Sainz, will be hoping to upstage British heroes Colin McRae and Richard Burns.
Along with Corsica, Makinen has never managed to secure a victory at the Rally of Great Britain.
However, with championship pressure now off, the Finn can focus on notching up a win.
'I am looking forward to going to Britain without any pressure,' Makinen said. 'It was great to wrap the title up in Australia.
'I really want to win this one and beat the British drivers on their home event.
'I am sure it is going to be very difficult, but we will try our best. Our car is working very well at the moment.'
