Gronholm: I'll win Cyprus

Marcus Gronholm says that next weekend's Cyprus Rally will give him his next win. A successful rough-road test in France has convinced Gronholm and his team-mate Harri Rovanpera that the good times are on their way back for Peugeot

Peugeot's 307 WRC, which made its debut in Monte Carlo this year, has not always pleased the double world champion, but he now seems convinced that it is coming good.

"Cyprus will be the next rally I win," Gronholm said. "The whole team has worked extremely hard over the past weeks and we have made significant progress with the car. I think the 307 WRC is an all-round car that is capable of being quick on every type of surface, fast or slow."

Rovanpera is in similarly upbeat form, pointing also to the test as the reason for his optimism.

"It seems like everything is going well at the moment," said Rovanpera. "At the end of April, we tested at Chateau de Lastours in the south of France and that was very positive. The team has put in a great deal of work and we should be in a position to fight at the sharp end in Cyprus."
