Galli set to miss next three events
Gigi Galli has admitted that it is unlikely he will be competing in the next three WRC events
Galli, who was left out in the cold for a drive this season when Mitsubishi withdrew in December, has competed in the opening two events in a privateer Lancer with support from Ralliart Italy.
However, despite being linked with events in both a Red Bull Skoda and a Prodrive-backed Subaru, Galli admits that finding the funding for any kind of drive has been prohibitive.
"All I can say is that I don't have a sufficient budget to take part," Galli told SportAutoMoto. "Personally I don't have money, and the sponsorships I obtained are minimal: nothing comparable to what you need to take part in the WRC.
"Barring a miracle, there will be no Spain or France for me. As for Argentina, it's definitely out of the question."
However, Galli is hopeful he will be able to compete in his home event in Sardinia at the end of May.
"I should be in the game in Sardinia, with a Mitsubishi prepared by Ralliart Italia," he added. "But there are no guarantees here either so, at the moment, the situation isn't definite at all."
