Final service: Notes and Quotes

Richard Burns (Subaru) - first: "I'm relieved, very relieved. It goes to show that we couldn't have started this morning with any less of a gap."

(Ford) - second, +44.6s: Spun and stalled in the penultimate stage costing the Scot just over half a minute: "It was only a half spin, but the engine stalled. I just got caught out on the loose gravel, Second place was looking doubtful for a while as well. The car was pretty quiet on the way back to here."

(Peugeot) - third, +50.1s: "The result was ok. I'm very happy because I didn't know a lot of the stages today. Next year it will be easier."

(Ford) - fourth, +52.2s: "On the third last bend on the last stage I just made a spin. I had to go into first gear to get back onto the road. We lost 10 or 12 seconds. We also had two punctures."

(Peugeot) - fifth, +55.8s: "I jumped the start on the last stage. I knew it instantly, said 's**t' and then carried on trying. If it hadn't been for all our mistakes here, we could have fought for victory."

(Subaru) - seventh, +2m15.8s: The Norwegian managed to take seventh place from Tommi Makinen on the final stage. He said: "Not many people have done that to Tommi." Then on damaging the front of his Impreza WRC on a post he commented: "I wouldn't say I did that on purpose, but I knew I was cutting it quite close. Overall, I'm delighted."
