Blundell in MG for Rally GB
Former grand prix driver Mark Blundell has joined MG's line-up to take part in the Rally Great Britain in November
He will drive one of MG's Super 1600 cars on the event and will be joined by Daily Express journalist Bob McKenzie in the co-driver's seat.
"Rally GB is going to be a very exciting challenge for me," said Blundell, who has raced for MG at Le Mans for the past two years. "It's quite daunting, but I can't wait to get in the MG and give it a crack.
"I'm planning to do a couple of stage rallies in the coming weeks to prepare myself for the big task ahead, but I know that this is certainly going to be very tough event.
"I'm looking forward to being back in the driving seat, although it'll be very strange to have someone sat besider me - I'm used to being on my own!"
Welshman Gwyndaf Evans will drive the other SS1600 MG on the Cardiff-based event for MG. Blundell's ITV F1 pundit colleague Tony Jardine and The Sun's Rob Gill will drive two Group N MG ZRs.
"It's like a Sunday League player stepping out in the FA Cup Final against David Beckham," said Gill.
