The Peugeot 905 was a technically advanced sportscar prototype featuring a carbon fibre chassis engineered by Dassault and powered by a light alloy SA35-A1 3499 cc naturally aspirated V10 engine that was similar to F1 engines of the time. On their home soil and facing the most prestigious race on the calendar the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, Peugeot pulled out all the stops with their first appearance.
