Hour 10: Herbert hit by another puncture
Audi continues to dominate proceedings at Le Mans, but its race has not been without trouble and both the number two and three cars have lost time during the past hour
Johnny Herbert was setting a terrific pace as he sought to regain lost ground on the leader when his R8 picked up a front right puncture. He lost second place top the number three car as he limped back to the pits, but regained the place when the three car was forced to pits for attention to its rear bodywork.
Herbert is now two laps behind the back-to-back winners, but is consistently lapping quicker, although it would require a remarkable drive to make up the lost ground without the aid of the number one car encountering punctures.
The Bentley has consolidated fourth place ahead of the number six Cadillac, which is a lap up on the ORECA of Pedro Lamy. The Riley & Scott is just seconds ahead of Jan Lammers in the Dome, while the second MG has slipped into the top 10.
Ferrari's GTS triumph looks secure bar some disaster, but the lead has changed in the GT class, with Lucar Luhr moving his Porsche into a lead of more than a minute over the number 81 machine
