4h25m Pagenaud dives into the pits from third in the #9 Peugeot - routine stop and its fuel only for the 908
4h25m The lead GTE Pro car, the #74 Corvette, comes into the pits as Westbrook takes control
4h27m Peugeot #7 pits from a temporary lead and is quickly away with a full tank of diesel.
4h29m #50 Larbre Corvette pits with Patrick Bornhauser at the wheel dropping from third to fourth in the GTE Am class.
4h31m Davidson's stop has allowed him to drop into the clutches of Romain Dumas in the #1 Audi as the pair battle for second position.
4h34m The pair are circulating super-close and it looks as if the position may change shortly.
4h35m Then again, they may not... The #1 Audi pits for its latest stop.
4h36m #35 Oak Racing Pescarolo pits with Andrea Barlesi at the wheel, that car is seventh in the LMP2 class right now.
4h37m The LMP2 leader Dominik Kraihamer is also in the pits as the ORECA team get to work.
4h38m His closest pursuer is now Nick Leventis who has taken over from Danny Watts in the Strakka HPD.
4h38m Dumas has dropped back to fifth overall now after that stop.
4h40m Fassler leads then in the Audi #2 from Davidson, who is 30s behind in the #7 Peugeot. Third is Simon Pagenaud in the #9 Peugeot, just holding off the position from Stephane Sarrazin in the #8 car. Dumas is just behind this battle. The top five covered by 1m30s.
4h41m The GTE Am leader, the #60 Aston Martin Vantage pits. As does the ORECA Peugeot - which is currently sixth overall. No tyres, no driver change, just fuel for that car.
4h42m There is a fantastic battle going on for petrol honours as Rebellion's Neel Jani fends off the attentions of Julien Jousse's Pescarolo.
4h43m Those two are running seventh and eigth. But now Jousse is the one in front having passed the Swiss driver.
4h44m Fassler has extended his lead to 39s over Davidson now as the Audi driver presses on.
4h45m The #60 Aston, having recently pitted, is now running slowly around the track. That means the Proton Porsche with Christian Ried at the wheel is in the lead of that class.
4h46m The GTE Pro leader Toni Vilander has pitted the AF Corse Ferrari, handing the lead back to Richard Westbrook's #74 Corvette.
4h47m The #1 Audi has had a spin at the entrance of Tertre Rouge.
4h48m Romain Dumas has got going again, but replays show he lost it going down the inside of a GTE Porsche.
4h50m Fassler just takes on diesel, loses the lead to Davidson's Peugeot. The sync between Audi and Peugeot's stop strategies is getting wider.
4h50m The #8 Peugeot is also in and Stephane Sarrazin hands over to Nicolas Minassian.
4h51m That car is getting the full works. Tyres and fuel going in. It was running fourth but could drop behind Dumas, who pitted only a couple laps back.
4h53m The #59 Luxury Ferrari, which was running fourth in the GTE Pro class, has a slow stop as it changes driver from Jamie Melo to Frederic Makowiecki.
4h54m So Davidson now has a 17s advantage in the lead #9 Peugeot over Audi's Marcel Fassler.
4h56m That gap is reducing though as Fassler continues to press on.
4h57m Joey Hand has moved back into second in the GTE Pro class following AF Corse's pit stop.
4h59m The two Audis, in second and fourth, are lapping in 3m30s. The Peugeots are running two-three seconds slower at the moment. On the other hand they are lasting a lap longer than the German machines over the stint.
5h01m Shots of Dindo Capello and Audi PR man Martyn Pass chatting in the Audi garage. The good news is that Allan McNish appears to be injury free after his monumental shunt. Which so far, has been the biggest story of the race.
5h03m Things have settled down a bit now. Difficult to know whether the Audi fast pace or the Peugeot fuel saving pace is the right way to go.
5h04m We've heard that McNish is back at the circuit by the way. Good news, though apparently he's been happier.
5h06m Wolf Henzler spins the #77 Porsche on the way in to the pits. Looked as if the right rear wheel was loose.
5h06m #60 has also spun at the end of the Ford Chicane as well.
5h07m Michael Wainwright is driving that car, which is the AMR Gulf Aston. It's still running third in the GTE Am class. We like that team - they helped us out with a set of jump leads earlier in the week!
5h08m Simon Pagenaud brings in #9 Pug to hand over to Pedro Lamy. That car was running third.
5h09m It gets a full service as it now heads off in pursuit of Romain Dumas, who has moved the #1 Audi back up to third.
