13h51m The Hope Racing squad haven't had the most enjoyable of evenings, and their woes continue as the #5 ORECA pulls up on the exit of the second chicane on the Mulsanne straight
13h53m Davidson in the #7 Peugeot swarming all over the back of Fassler in the #2 Audi now. Pagenaud in the lead #9 908 edging away slightly
13h54m And Davidson is through! The #7 Peugeot claims second now, Davidson finding the slipstream on the run down to Indianapolis
13h54m Down the field and the #81 Flying Lizard Motorsport Porsche is in for service. The gap was around 90 seconds so it's possible that Spencer Pumpelly can maintain the lead.
13h55m Peugeot 1-2 at the front of the field now, although Fassler in the #2 Audi hasn't let this go and is now hounding Davidson...
13h59m The #13 Rebellion Racing Lola has stopped through the Porsche curves, necessitating this latest safety car period.
14h02m Looks like another big shunt, this time for Jean-Christophe Boullion in the #13 Rebellion car.
14h03m What this does do, assuming the top three don't become separated during pitstops, is give us a 1-2-3 race when we go back to green.
14h05m Marshals once again called into action to clear the track of debris from that crash. Still no news on Boullion himself, but the car door was open so one can only hope he was okay and exited the vehicle...
14h06m Advantage Davidson in the #7 Peugeot it seems, although pit stops could separate the field again depending on the length of this course of yellows
14h08m Westbrook is down and away in the #74 Corvette and holds onto the class lead.
14h10m There's one car between the Pagenaud and Davidson in the #9 and #7 Peugeots, while Fassler is directly behind in the #2 Audi
14h11m Over in LMP2, Kimber-Smith in the lead #41 has lost all of its advantage over the #48 ORECA in second
14h13m The #68 Robertson Racing entry is in for a lengthy stop. David Murry rejoins in seventh place in the GTE Am category.
14h14m Heavy damage to the front of the #13 Rebellion Lola, although we're still waiting on any more information. The car is at least being removed on the back of a low loader
14h15m Safety Car in this lap, after the wrecked #13 Lola has been removed
14h19m Boullion is fine and out of the car, it looks like driver error this time apparently
14h20m The #70 Larbre Competition Porsche has been into the pits. Jean-Philippe Belloc rejoins still in third position in GTE Am.
14h20m Cars on the Mulsanne straight now, plenty of weaving to keep the tyres warm and the nerves alive.
14h21m Safety Car remains out for one more lap at least. Marshals working extremely hard but with crashes of this magnitude there is a lot to clear
14h22m The safety car comes into the pitlane and we are racing once again.
14h23m Change of the lead, as Davidson moves to the front in the #7 Peugeot
14h24m Pagenaud peels into the pitlane just as the track goes green, and will drop to third as a conseuqence
14h25m Fassler in the #2 Ausi hounding Davidson, but the Peugeot already has a gap of around 1s
14h26m In GTE Pro the #74 has a decent lead over the #51 AF Corse Ferrari.
14h26m Two cars in the gravel: #33, Barbosa in the Lola-HPD, is beached on the exit of the Esses
14h27m #71 also struck problems. It rejoins but is slowly crawling back to the pits
14h28m Another lead change. Davidson pits in the #7 Peugeot, and Fassler moves the #2 Audi back into the race lead.
14h28m Problems for the fourth placed car in GTE Pro. Stephane Ortelli is another other car stuck out on the circuit in the #59 Luxury Racing Ferrari.
14h29m The faintest flicker of sunrise playing out across the hill at the Dunlop curve, as Barbosa rejoins in the #33 Lola - which falls from 3rd to 5th
14h31m #41 Zytek-Nissan protects its LMP2 lead, stretching it to 9s over #48 ORECA
14h31m Michael Waltrip pits the #71 AF Corse Ferrari. Some problem there for the American as the engine cover is lifted off by the mechanics.
14h31m Neel Jani in the #12 Rebellion Lola dives into the pits
14h34m Robert Kauffman in the #71 AF Corse Ferrari has reportedly been banned for the rest of the race for dangerous driving
14h34m Oliver Gavin is at the controls of the GTE Pro leading #74 Corvette. He has a one lap advantage over the #51 AF Corse Ferrari. Giancarlo Fisichella is back onboard that car.
14h35m Orange hue on the hills of Le Mans now as the sun begins to make an early appearance, 14.5 hours into the race
14h36m Fassler on a charge now, and he extends the #2 Audi's lead to more than 60s over Davidson in the #7 Peugeot
