11h04m At the head of the field, Bourdais in the #9 Peugeot dips into the 3m29s bracket. Lead now stands at 1m57s, while Wurz in the #7 908 is 30s further down the road
11h05m Julien Jousse takes control of the #16 Pescarolo, which exits still in the lead of the petrol LMP1 standings
11h06m Lombard meanwhile flying in LMP2 still, and he extends his lead in the #41 Zytek-Nissan to over 1 minute
11h07m Problems for the #5 Hope Racing ORECA, as Jan Lammers struggles to get the car going coming out of the pits. He's finally underway after several aborted starts
11h08m LMP2 class leader into the pits, Lombard bringing the #41 Zytek into his garage having pulled out a lead of 1m13s
11h09m Gaps continue to close in GTE Pro and Toni Vilander is maintaining his two seconds per lap advantage over class leader Jan Magnussen in the #74 Corvette. The gap is now under two minutes.
11h11m The GTE Am class leading #50 Larbre Competition car pits and that will likely hand the lead back to the #70 Larbre Porsche, as the two continue running relatively close to eachother.
11h11m Belicchi comes into the pits in the #13 Rebellion Lola, from second in the petrol standings
11h12m Leaders into the pits, as Treluyer peels off the circuit in the #2 Audi. Behind him, Bourdais in the #9 Peugeot goes purple in S1...
11h13m But no, it's not the #50 car that takes the lead in GTE Am. It's the #81 Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche, with the top three now running in relatively close company.
11h14m Bourdais dips into the 3m28s bracket, just half a second off the fastest lap so far this race. #2 Audi's lead is down to 50s following Treluyer's stop
11h16m Another stop for the Strakka team, Watts in again in the #42 HPD. The car's pace hasn't fallen away but there is clearly a lingering problem somewhere...
11h17m The #42 Strakka was third in LMP2, but may drop down after receiving a brand new nose
11h18m Bourdais pits from second. Having reduced the gap to 47s, the #9 makes its 12th stop of the race.
11h20m The ORECA Peugeot has gone off at the first chicane. It's being pulled behind the barriers.
11h21m It's not clear what happened to it but Loic Duval was driving at the time.
11h21m The ORECA people are running left, right and centre in the garage as they prepare for it's hoped return.
11h22m The #56 BMW is into the pits for a stop. Driver change this time and it's away holding ninth in class.
11h22m From where we are sitting in the press room, the moon looks amazing. Not that we really have time to look at it!
11h24m The Strakka HPD is on another outlap. Danny Watts has brought the car in and out of the pits a couple of times in recent laps. The #42 car has now dropped back down to fourth.
11h25m Simon Pagenaud and Alex Wurz are running in very close company in second and third positions.
11h26m Oh dear. Car #60, the AMR Aston team that lent us the jump leads is in the gravel at Porsche.
11h27m It is apparently being pulled out though from what we can see on the screens.
11h28m Duval is bringing the ORECA Pug back to the pits. There is a fair amount of damage to the right front. Not surprisingly it's been rolled into the garage for repairs.
11h28m The #89 Hankook Team Farnbacher Ferrari has been pushed into the garage.
11h31m Work frantically going on in the ORECA pit. Hughes de Chaunac is a less than happy Frenchman currently.
11h32m The #60 Gulf AMR Aston has made it back to the pits after that trip through the gravel.
11h33m Treluyer now commands a 2m01 lead at the front of the field.
11h34m Pitstop time in GTE Am as the leading Flying Lizard Motorsport entry and the #61 AF Corse Ferrari both come in for service.
11h34m Pagenaud is working hard to recover that time and continue the good work done by Bourdais in his previous stint in the #9 car.
11h34m But try as they might, the Peugeots are not making the kind of impact on the leading Audi that they would like.
11h35m The lead in GTE Am now returns to Larbre Competition and its #70 Porsche. Pascal Gibon is currently behind the wheel.
11h35m The ORECA Peugeot's spell in the garage has dropped it to seventh. Julien Jousse is now fifth for Pescarolo and Andrea Belicchi sixth.
11h37m In GTE Pro, Toni Vilander is still pressing on in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari. He remains in second place but is now under two-and-a-half minutes behind the class-leading #74 Corvette.
11h38m Olivier Lombard is still going great guns at the front of LMP2. The Greaves Zytek is still a lap ahead of the long-time former leader - the #48 Oreca with Dominik Kraihamer at the wheel.
11h39m There is a Japanese photographer sleeping next to us, who is actually snoring louder than the passing Corvettes.
11h39m Vilander has been consistently quicker than Jan Magnussen since the last restart - typically one to three seconds per lap each time round.
11h39m So we're recording it on the dictaphone. We might play it back to him later!
11h40m The ORECA Peugeot is now down to eighth overall. Work still going on.
