16h11m Franck Montagny has stayed with the car. He is attempting to remove the engine cover and take a closer look at the damage underneath the 908.
16h09m The marshals are laying oil-dri down at Tertre Rouge to cover the oil that was dropped from the #2 Peugeot.
16h09m That #63 Corvette had just exited the pits and Antonio Garcia had taken over the driving duties - heartbreak for the team, as they were running second in class and looking very solid. Looks like the #77 Felbermayr Porsche 997 will move into second, with Fisichella in the #95 Ferrari set to inherit third.
16h08m Suddenly the Audis are one-two with the #8 entry about to move into second place.
16h08m It's all change as the #9 Audi takes over the lead of the Le Mans 24 Hours with just under a third of the race to go.
16h05m Montagny is being pushed to a safer spot by the marshals.
16h04m The #1 car pits and Peugeot team boss Olivier Quesnel cannot believe what he is seeing as the dead #2 lies marooned at the side of the road.
16h04m High drama now - looks like the #63 Corvette has also pulled off to the side and may be struggling...
16h03m Montagny had only just pulled out of the pits after what seemed like a very routine service.
16h03m The marshals quickly put the small fire out but the car is still stranded out at Tertre Rouge.
16h02m The #2 is on fire as Montagny pulls the car over to the side of the road. This is the race leading car.
16h02m Oh there's big trouble for the #2 as it shovels smoke and flames from the right rear!
16h02m David Brabham now matching Jonny Kane's pace at the front of the LMP2 field, with the #42 Strakka Racing team now enjoying a two lap advantage over the #26 Highcroft HPD.
16h01m The leader is into the pits. Franck Montagny hits his marks and stays firmly on board. He takes fuel only and rejoins the fray with a two lap lead.
15h58m So too does the third car in LMP2, the #25 Lola-HPD driven currently by Thomas Erdos.
15h58m Benoit Treluyer comes into and out of the pits after taking on fuel only. He resumes in third position, somewhere close to two minutes behind the second placed #9 entry.
15h56m The #009 Aston Martin has been in for a full service - fuel, tyres and a driver change. Darren Turner gives way to Sam Hancock. He rejoins the race with the car in eighth position.
15h54m That pitstop for the #64 Corvette hasn't cost the team its lead, but the #63 Corvette of Johnny O'Connell is now less than four minutes behind on circuit.
15h51m Here's a surprise - the #69 JLOC is in the garage. It is the last classified car in the race at the moment in 39th position, a full 122 laps down.
15h50m Looks like a new brake disc and pads on the left front of the #64 Corvette, which is leading in GT2 - Olivier Beretta is driving and he should re-emerge from the pits with his lead intact.
15h47m Into the pits comes Dindo Capello in the #7 Audi. He is fifth in the classification and takes on fuel only before leaving in a hurry.
15h46m The GT1 lead battle remains static with #50 Larbre Competition Saleen holding a two lap lead over the #73 Luc Alphand Corvette for the past five hours.
Tomas Enge is behind the wheel of the third placed Young Driver AMR Aston Martin DBR9, but ten laps behind.
Tomas Enge is behind the wheel of the third placed Young Driver AMR Aston Martin DBR9, but ten laps behind.
15h45m That's one down for Fisichella: he moves into fifth as Leh Keen in the #89 Ferrari 430 comes into the pits.
15h45m Confirmation that Fisichella took over from Alesi in the #95 Ferrari 430, and he'll be looking to set after Patrick Pilet in the #76 Porsche 997, currently fourth in GT2.
15h43m Meantime, Montagny posts 3m21.164s in the leading #2 Peugeot. That is only two-tenths of a second shy of the quickest time the car has achieved all race.
15h42m David Brabham into the pits for the #26 Highcroft HPD team, and its a simple routine stop with fuel put into the car.
15h42m Bernhard brings the car into the pits and will stay at the controls for another series of laps. No tyre change this time but a full load of fuel and out he goes.
15h40m Timo Bernhard is clearly pushing hard in the #9 Audi. Replays show the second placed car running slightly wide under braking for Arnage.
15h39m Giancarlo Fisichella waiting in the pitlane as the #95 Ferrari 430, under the command of Jean Alesi, heads down the pitlane...
15h38m The Drayson mechanics have changed tyres on the #11 car and sent Cocker back out into the action. The car is 97 laps down in 38th position overall - although it's still ahead of the JLOC.
15h36m Good battle still reigning in the GT2 category, with the top five all separated by one lap consecutively. Neither Corvette seems to be suffering from any mechanical woes, and the #64 still leads the #63 at the head of the field.
15h35m Franck Montagny is on the pace in the leading #2 Peugeot. He turns a lap of 3m21.573s.
15h33m Jonny Cocker brings the Drayson back into the pits and the team will inspect the #11 entry after that visit to the gravel.
15h32m The #83 Risi Ferrari 430 is back in the pits, it's been something of a torrid race so far for the team...
15h31m The marshals complete the job and Jonny Cocker is able to get the Drayson running again.
15h30m The ACO marshals are struggling to remove the Drayson from the gravel as the rear end of the #11 meets a lip between the end of the gravel trap and the asphalt.
15h29m A tractor unit is pulling the #11 Drayson out of the gravel bed.
