13h39m Jonny Kane, back in the lead #42 Strakka HPD, has set about trying to re-establish his team's two lap lead - Kane is six seconds faster on his last tour of the circuit than Marco Werner, who is chasing in the #26 HPD.
13h41m New tyres and fuel for the #97 Porsche 997, which is currently seventh in the GT2 class.
13h43m Now a driver change for the #85 Spyker squad, currently languishing at the bottom of the GT2 class. Jeroen Bleekemolen steps out, and it should be Peter Dumbreck stepping in to replace the Dutchman.
13h43m Tom Kristensen is taking a well-earned breather following his huge stint at the wheel of the #7 Audi. The Dane completed 74 consecutive laps over a duration of three hours and forty minutes.
13h45m The GT1 leader is in the pits. #50 Larbre Competition Saleen has been in and out of the box, maintaining a solid three-lap lead. over the #73 Luc Alphand Corvette.
13h49m Good battle between the #64 and #63 Corvettes which has been running for a while without either squad finding a significant advantage over the other. Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen are currenly driving the respective cars, and are both setting similar laptimes. The #64 car currenyl enjoys a one lap lead.
13h49m Nicolas Minassian is now the quickest driver on the circuit as the leading #2 Peugeot maintains its edge of the Audis. The Frenchman clocked 3m22.495s on his last tour.
13h52m The lead #64 Corvette completes a routine stop and rejoins, still out in front.
13h56m Toni Vilander pits for the #95 AF Corse team - after picking up new tyres and fuel, Vilander heads out for his next stint.
13h56m The running order has changed little over the last hour. Peugeot #2 leads after almost 14 hours with Audi #9 in second place, one lap behind.
13h57m Audi #8 is in third position, two laps down on the leader and the #1 Peugeot is in fourth place, three laps down.
13h58m The leader is into the pits this time round and Nicolas Minassian stays in the car. He takes on fuel and tyres ... dropped down off the jacks and he's away.
14h01m Continuing our look through the top ten, and in fifth spot we have the #7 Audi that was fancied to lead the German challenge against Peugeot in fifth spot. Behind it comes the #4 Team Oreca Matmut Peugeot. This car is four laps down, as we see the #15 Kolles car into and out of the pits from ninth.
14h01m Now a pit for the #26 Highcroft HPD team, and after examining the car the team whip off the engine cover - could be a costly delay for the team, who were hunting down the lead #42 HPD.
14h02m Jorg Muller makes a welcome return to the circuit after a lengthy spell in the pits for the #78 BMW M3.
14h03m #007 Lola Aston Martin is piloted by Stefan Mucke and lies seventh - this is the fastest petrol-powered car. Following behind in eighth is the #009 Aston. The #15 Kolles that has recently been into the pits is ninth and the #008 Signature Plus Lola Aston Martin rounds out the top ten - some 12 laps down on the leader.
14h08m There's a slight hint of daylight as the #40 Quifel Ginetta-Zytek comes into the pits for a routine stop, and teams are expecting sunrise in around 45 minutes.
14h09m The GT1 category lead is still held by the #50 Saleen run by Larbre Competition. Roland Berville is piloting that entry at the moment and enjoys a two-lap advantage over #73 - the Luc Alphand Aventures Corvette.
14h10m The #1 Peugeot has just been into the pits and Alex Wurz takes on fuel only, resuming in fourth position.
14h11m It's been remarkably steady in the LMP2 class in the last couple of hours, with the #42 Strakka HPD leading for the entire duration. The #26 Highcroft squad had threatened to reign it in, but a delayed pitstop has dropped it back and Marco Werner is now two laps down the road.
14h11m More problems for Oreca Peugeot #4. Olivier Panis is wheeled into the garage from sixth place.
14h16m It's been something of a mammoth session for Marco Werner, who has been at the wheel of the #26 Highcroft HPD for more than two hours now.
14h17m Mike Rockenfeller brings the second placed #9 Audi into the pits. Routine service and he's off and rolling out onto the circuit again.
14h18m The AUTOSPORT pit team are reporting that the #77 Felbermayr Porsche 911 is having problems in the pitlane.
14h18m On board with Rockenfeller and he is immediately weaving through slower traffic in a wonderful display of composure.
14h20m Jonny Kane into the pits, and a quick stop by the #42 Strakka team means he rejoins the circuit without fuss, still leading the LMP2 class.
14h22m Alex Wurz has continued to outpace the rest of the front-runners - albeit only slightly since he jumped back into the #1 Peugeot. However, the Austrian now has almost 90 seconds advantage over the #7 Audi and may move into a clear fourth place when the order shakes out.
14h23m Dindo Capello has been into the pits in the #7 Audi. Routine service and he's away to resume battle in fifth place.
14h24m Stop now for the #41 Ginetta-Zytek of Karim Ojjeh, and after a routine stop he's back out.
14h27m The #77 Felbermayr Porsche looks like it's back on circuit after setting a 7m44.625s outlap. Wolf Henzler is in the hot seat and he may well be able to hold onto third position in class despite those delays in the pitlane.
14h28m Routine pitstop for the #35 Pescarolo-Judd which is currently running third in class, one lap down the road from the #26 Highcroft HPD and one lap ahead of the #25 Lola HPD.
14h28m The top three cars all clock 3m25s on that last lap round La Sarthe. Alex Wurz is now in a clear fourth place but shown as three laps down on the leading #2 Peugeot. Wurz outpaces the rest again with 3m23s.
14h33m #8 Audi is into the pits and Andre Lotterer hands over control to Benoit Treluyer. Full service of tyres and fuel and he's away. The #8 and #9 Audis are continuing to swap between second and third positions.
14h37m The tenth placed #008 Signature Plus Lola Aston Martin has also been into the pits very recently.
14h38m Nicolas Minassian is suddenly upping the pace. His last lap was an eye-catching 3m20.943s as the #2 continues to enjoy a healthy one-lap lead at the front of the field.
14h39m Light is definitely breaking as we close on the 15th hour of the race. Remarkable consistency for Jonny Kane, whose last lap, a 3m39.672s, was almost four seconds faster than anyone else in the LMP2 class.
14h40m #2 Peugeot - the leader of the race - is in and out of the pits. Fuel only and Minassian returns to the action.
14h41m The #95 AF Corse Ferrari 430, which has been running very strongly, is into the pits. Jean Alesi hops into the car, ending a good double stint from Toni Vilander.
14h42m The #1 Peugeot pits from fourth position. Alex Wurz has moved the car up into a clear fourth place and he hands over to Marc Gene.
