11h26m Some slight interest developing potentially in GT1. Larbre Competition #50 still leads by two laps, but the second placed car #73 is catching at several seconds per lap. Julien Jousse is consistently closing the gap.
11h27m Romain Dumas comes into the pits and takes fuel only in the #9 Audi. He rolls back out in third place, one lap down.
11h29m Soheil Ayari is into the pits with the #6 Oreca AIM entry. Driver change and the tenth placed machine is underway once again.
11h30m Danny Watts still setting a great pace out front in the #42 Strakka HPD. Warren Hughes also lapping strongly in the #40 Ginetta, and he's pulling away from the #25 RML Lola HPD of Andy Wallace.
11h32m The #7 Audi was in for a stop only 11 minutes ago. Suddenly Kristensen is back in and after some confusion, takes on a fresh set of tyres and he's away again.
11h34m Strakka pitcrew gearing up for a change, and Danny Watts certainly has put in a fantastic stint since the car's last stop.
11h34m Julien Jousse brings the second placed GT1 car into the pits for service. The #73 was going great guns and closing down the leading #50 car prior to that stop.
11h36m Danny Watts finally out of the car after a fantastic stint, and Watts helps Nick Leventis settle into the car before removing his helmet and taking a well deserved breather. The #42 HPD rejoins after a slick stop.
11h38m More problems for the Schnitzer BMW Motorsport team - after losing the #79 car earlier, looks like their #78 challenger has a problem with its left front. It's in the pits and has been wheeled back into the garage, could be a long stop...
11h39m Andre Lotterer guides the #8 Audi in for routine service. It is fourth at the moment with two Peugeots out front and three Audi R15s occupying third to fifth places.
11h40m Corvette's switch down into GT2 seems to be paying dividends - at least for the moment - as the #64 and #63 cars currently run first and second in class.
11h42m Giancarlo Fisichella makes his first pitstop for the #95 AF Corse team.
11h42m The #6 AIM Oreca car is in trouble. Didier Andre is wheeled back into the garage for repairs. The car was in tenth place but is likely to slip down the order.
11h45m The #41 Zytek has been rolled back into the garage and is getting an entire new nose after problems with the front end. The car was running sixth but should be able to keep position, with a healthy five lap lead over the #39 Lola Judd in seventh.
11h47m The Lola Aston #007 car has recently been in for a stop. Adrian Fernandez climbed out and handed over to Harold Primat.
11h49m Didier Andre remains in the AIM Oreca garage as repairs are made to the car. He is now well out of the top ten.
11h51m Loic Duval pits the #4 Oreca Peugeot and there's drama as it's wheeled into the garage and the engine cover is being taken off. This is the second placed car.
11h52m While there is trouble brewing for one Peugeot, it's plain sailing for another - the #2 has been in and out of the pits and now enjoys an increased lead.
11h53m WTCC's Tom Coronel comes in for a routine stop in the #85 Spyker C8 - the team are currently last in class and have some way to go to move up the field, they're around 10 laps down the road from the #83 Ferrari 430.
11h55m Feverish work continues on the #6 AIM Oreca entry and now the #9 Audi crosses the line to take second place.
11h56m So Romain Dumas is up to second with the highest-ranked Audi and Lotterer is due to cross to take over third in the #8 R15 Plus about now.
12h00m The gap between the leading #2 Peugeot and second placed #9 Audi is timed at 3m13s. Suddenly, all it takes now is one slip-up for the leader and Audi could be staring a one-two-three in the face.
12h00m Just two minutes to go until the halfway stage of the race, and the #42 Strakka HPD is looking very comfortable in the lead of the LMP2 class, with Nick Leventis currently on duty in the night stint. Some wonderful and evocative scenes of blaring headlights as the cars scythe through the darkness.
12h03m Over in the GT2 class, the Corvette C6s are currently first and second, with Emman Collard in the #64 car around two minutes in front of Antonio Garcia in the #63.
12h04m The Oreca Peugeot #4 is back out after repairs, but it has dropped out of the top five.
12h05m Didier Andre is also back on track after a slightly longer stay in the pits with the AIM Oreca #6 machine. That car has dropped down to at least 12th position.
12h06m Marco Werner lapping very quickly in the #26 Highcroft HPD lapping very quickly, and he's just set a 3m47.242s - on that tour around nine seconds a lap quicker than the lead #42 car.
12h10m In GT1 the #50 Larbre Competition Saleen holds a two lap lead over Julien Jousse in the #73 Luc Alphand Adventures entry, with #60 the Matech Competition Ford GT, third in class but nine laps adrift.
12h12m The AUTOSPORT reporters in the pits tell us that the #4 Oreca Peugeot had a driveshaft failure. #4 is now down in seventh after the repairs.
12h12m As teams push through the night, Audi are predicting sunlight in about two hours.
12h17m The #1 Peugeot is running at breakneck speed once again as Anthony Davidson continues in pursuit of the Audis.
12h17m Driver swap for the #77 Felbermayr-Proton squad, with Marc Lieb handing control of the Porsche 911 over to Richard Lietz.
12h19m Davidson is now fourth, having passed Tom Kristensen in the #7 Audi recently.
12h21m Andre Lotterer pits the #8 Audi from second place. It's a quick turnaround and he's back out to resume the chase of the leader.
12h22m Marco Werner continues to run well in the #26 Highcroft HPD - worth mentioning that his teammate is Marino Andretti, who could well register a first Le Mans victory for the Andretti dynasty.
12h23m The #14 Kolles Audi has had an incident and is stranded at the side of the track.
12h23m Driver change for the #89 Hankook Ferrari 430, currently fifth in class although the #95 AF Corse Ferrari is only 50 seconds down the road.
12h25m Meantime the #8 is in for service - again. Lotterer had been in the pits just a couple of laps ago.
12h27m The #9 Audi with Romain Dumas at the wheel has regained second position, as we see the #008 Lola Aston Martin in for regular service.
