14h15m Peugeot #9 comes into the pits and takes on tyres and fuel. Marc Gene stays in the cockpit and resumes still at the front of the field.
14h13m The marshals are busy sweeping the circuit at the Ford Chicane. The safety car remains in control of the field.
14h13m The pits are very busy as the mechanics again take advantage of stops under caution.
14h11m The Team Essex LMP2 car is also in for service at the moment. They are working at the rear of that car, which has a substantial lead - particularly as the chasing car is also in the garage.
14h09m Bourdais rejoins still in second position overall, behind the leading sister car driven by Marc Gene.

14h04m The #4 Creation continues its drift down the standings as Jamie Campbell-Walter comes into the pits and the car is quickly whisked into the garage for yet more repairs.

That entry is now down in 34th position overall.
14h01m The safety car period has done little to change the GT2 class standings. Mika Salo leads a Ferrari one-two-three in the #82 Risi Competizione car. He enjoys a one lap lead over the #92 JMW Motorsport machine.

Fabio Babini is third in the BMS Scuderia Italia #97. Porsche now run in fourth and fifth places. The Flying Lizard #80 is moving back up the field in the hands of Seth Neiman with Patrick Long fifth in the IMSA Performance #76.
14h00m The first signs of dawn are beginning to break at the circuit with ten hours remaining in this race.
13h56m Joao Barbosa is on the move and set to take the Pescarolo past the Olivier Panis Oreca as they fight over sixth place.
13h56m In LMP2, Team Essex have retained their healthy lead of three laps over the similar Team Goh Porsche RS Spyder.
13h55m Olivier Panis is sixth in the #11 Oreca Matmut entry. The Frenchman is only a few seconds ahead of Joao Barbosa in the #16 Pescarolo Judd petrol-powered car.

Eighth is the #15 Kolles Audi. Giorgio Mondini is on board with Andrea Bellichi ninth in the Speedy Racing entry and Anthony Davidson rounds out the top ten for Aston Martin in the #008 - 10 laps off the lead.
13h53m This intervention has increased the gap between the pair of Corvettes in GT1 to 2m12s, with Johnny O'Connell driving the class-leading car.
13h51m The #007 Aston Martin is fourth with Stefan Mucke at the wheel. He is five laps down, but ahead of the #14 Kolles Audi R10 driven by Charles Zwolsman in fifth place.
13h50m The Peugeots answer the call and resume at the head of the race. Car #9 leads the field with the second Peugeot car, #8, 93 seconds behind. Dindo Capello is third in the Audi #1 machine - one lap down.
13h47m The safety car comes into the pitlane and we are racing once again.
13h44m The two safety cars will pit at the end of this lap, allowing racing to resume.
13h43m Daniel Poissenot, race director, has personally given the #17 car owner Henri Pescarolo an update on the condition of Benoit Treluyer.

13h35m The accident promotes the #007 Aston Martin into fourth place, with the #14 Kolles Audi now fifth, Olivier Panis sixth in the Oreca Matmut car and the #15 Kolles Audi R10 into seventh.
13h34m The ACO have released a statement on the crash of the #17 Peugeot. It confirms that Benoit Treluyer was conscious after being extracted from the heavily damaged car and the Frenchman has been taken to the circuit's medical centre for further examination.
13h33m The fire engine has finally worked its way back to the pits as the clear-up continues, following an almighty shunt involving the #17 Pescarolo that was running in fourth place with Benoit Treluyer at the wheel.
13h25m The #1 Audi is once again in the garage.
13h24m That car is up to fourth overall after that massive crash for the #17 Peugeot.

Treluyer is now being transferred to the waiting ambulance as the recovery continues.
