The blame for the accident between the #64 Chevrolet and the #88 Porsche in hour six has been laid at Marcel Fassler's door by the stewards of the meeting. The Corvette driver has been fined €7000 and had his licence endorsed to the tune of seven penalty points.
Change for second in GTE Pro as Garcia moves the Corvette ahead of Pier Guidi's Ferrari.
Lopez was nearly three seconds slower than Nakajima last time around so the #8 Toyota is now over 10s clear.

That's quite the turnaround considering the #7's form for the majority of this race.
Still no sign of DragonSpeed and ByKolles - both rooted to the bottom of the overall leaderboard.
Estre's lead in GTE Pro is back out to 10 seconds over Pier Guidi, who is running nose-to-tail with Garcia's Corvette and Tincknell's Ford.
DragonSpeed becomes the first of the leading trio to blink, pitting Davidson after his triple stint to put Roberto Gonzalez back behind the wheel. However, we're getting a message from race control that the #31 car's FCY procedure is under investigation. That doesn't sound good.
Nakajima's four seconds clear of Lopez at the moment as LMP1 seems to be calming down.

But every time we've said this, something mental's happened, so take it with a pinch of salt.
The team manager of the #3 Rebellion has been summoned to the race director.
Senna has taken over from Jani in the #1 Rebellion, but it's two laps down on the sister car and three on the SMP Racing cars.
Lamy has caused a double yellow not long after the second Mulsanne chicane.

Marshals are pushing it out of the way.
Vergne is keeping the gap over Lapierre around the 13-14s mark, with Davidson still hanging on around 29s off the lead. All very much of a muchness with the top guns at the moment.
Sarrazin has replaced Sirotkin in the SMP #17 car, currently running third.
The DragonSpeed issue that's kept the car in the pits for over an hour is said to be gearbox-related.
Petrov is in the #11 SMP machine, taking over from Aleshin.

Sirotkin is now in the pits for the other SMP car.
Minor GTE Am update - now Ben Keating is at the wheel of the eponymous privateer Ford GT, the gap between the #85 and its nearest pursuer, the #84 JMW Motorsport Ferrari of Jeff Segal, has been cut from over a minute to 47s.
Lopez is back out on track and Nakajima has remained ahead - so the #8 Toyota cracks on with a 1s lead.
Meanwhile, Aleshin has made his latest stop for fuel and tyres - but SMP Racing is now making the most of Rebellion setbacks to place both cars a lap up on its privateer rival.
We believe Lopez has again gone another two laps more than the #8 Toyota before stopping - he did it last time as well.

Previously, Toyota had been pitting the two cars a lap apart.

Change of plan?
That latest stop from the #3 Rebellion was nothing to write home about - 3m27s - and it's put it two laps down on the lead Toyota.
A new front nose is being fitted to the #8 car and Lopez has taken over the lead of LMP1 for now.
Lopez seems to be navigating traffic slightly better, he's 3.5s behind Nakajima.
While we were pre-occupied with the delay in the pits for Signatech, we neglected to inform you that the #31 DragonSpeed ORECA has closed to within 25s of the lead, with Davidson benefitting most from the timing of the last FCY. It's also jumped him ahead of the #38 TDS ORECA now being driven by Richelmi.
Rebellion #3 driver Laurent comes in for his latest pitstop as SMP Racing continues to lock down third and fourth.
Harsh luck for Signatech - Negrao came in right behind Vergne, but couldn't get into his box due to the Villorba Corse Dallara being in the way and had to be pushed back on the dolly jacks before work could commence. Lapierre is now aboard, but facing a 14 second deficit.
Nakajima's lead is holding stable at around four seconds.
In all this excitement, we should probably make it absolutely clear that it is now dark. Properly dark.
Just 1.2s in it at the front of LMP2 between Vergne and Negrao, who is hanging on admirably to the coat-tails of the Formula E champion.
While juggling many, many things we missed the #7 of Lopez make another mistake, running wide at Indianapolis

Estre is back out in the lead in GTE Pro; before the FCY, he was a shade under 10s in the clear of Pier Guidi, and Tincknell is up to third now at Garcia's expense.
The two leaders in GTE Pro are on pit road - that's Estre's Porsche and Garcia's Corvette.
Lopez made up ground last time around, lapping around seven tenths quicker than Nakajima to bring the gap down to 1s.
