It's hard work keeping up with all these incidents! Here's a view of the silver Ferrari being recovered at the first chicane:
The #86 Gulf Porsche had only just returned to the circuit, having been parked early in the last session with a suspected oil leak.
Nakajima has immediately pitted and handed over to Buemi - who was at the wheel when the #8 Toyota ground to a halt in the earlier session - after making that improvement.
Before this spate of yellows and slow zones, there were a few improvements in LMP2. Currently, the order is: 1 #25 Manor ORECA; 2 #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA; 3 #13 Rebellion ORECA; 4 #24 Manor ORECA; 5 #31 Rebellion ORECA; 6 #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA
The top eight overall, led by a Toyota one-two and featuring the LMP2 leaders as well:
Amidst that excitement in GTE Am, the #64 Corvette went second in Pro with a 3m52.017s. Tommy Milner now at the wheel of that car.
Vaxiviere is now out in the #28 G-Drive/TDS ORECA. He had overnight pole, and hasn't had a proper go at improving tonight, so that car has slipped down to 12th
Looks like there was a slight error from Lapierre in the #9 Toyota just now as he had to straightline a chicane.
Lynn takes LMP2 provisional pole with a 3m25.352s in the #26 G-Drive/TDS ORECA
Buemi in the #8 Toyota has just been given a warning about track limits through Karting.
Updated LMP2 top six following that new class-topping lap from Lynn:
Race control warns that car #5 is slow. But there is no car #5...
Quick update for all the ByKolles fans out there. The CLM has yet to leave the pits this session.
Another couple of driver changes with Lopez taking over the #9 Toyota and Bernhard now in the #2 Porsche.
Panciatici bangs in a 3m28.891s in the #35 Signatech ORECA. That's in ninth
Gommendy goes sixth in the #37 #Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA
There's still a little light here at Le Mans, but not very much
Fourth place now for Garcia in the second Corvette with a 3m52.089s. That's only the fourth car today to beat last night's quickest time.
After those early couple of improvements in LMP1, things have settled down again with no cars currently bettering any of the sector times.
Finally, the overnight polesitter improves - Vaxiviere sets a 3m27.108s to move from 12th up to sixth.
The #54 Ferrari has finally crawled back to the pits under its own power after that earlier shunt for Castellacci.
Now it's kicking off. Christensen pops in a 3m51.847s in the #92 Porsche to go fastest of all, only for Garcia to top that with a 3m51.484s in the #63 Corvette.
Vergne is on a lap, but so far it doesn't look like it's going to move the #24 Manor ORECA any higher than its current fifth place.
The current order is: 1 #26 G-Drive/TDS ORECA, 2 #25 Manor ORECA; 3 #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA; 4 #13 Rebellion ORECA; 5 #24 Manor ORECA; 6 #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA.
Pedro Lamy has gone round in 3m53.233s to put the #98 Aston back on top in GTE Am. Cioci up to third in the #55 Ferrari with 3m53.641s, not quite enough to beat Bell's earlier benchmark but faster than Stevens' time from the previous session.
Down the back of P2, Patrice Lafargue improves to a 3m36.230s in the #17 IDEC Ligier. He's 23rd.
Not many quick sectors floating around in LMP2 right now. Guibbert has gone 20th in the #39 Graff ORECA but that's one of very few improvements in the past few minutes.
Vergne is about to come in for a new set of tyres. That car has been in the mix at or the near the front, so perhaps he'll have a go at improving.
Rees follows up a respectable 3m53.967s lap in the #50 Larbre Corvette with a sizzling 3m52.843s. That's the best in the Am class by nearly four tenths of a second. Sadly his team-mates are somewhat slower - whether this car qualifies on pole or not, it will go backwards once Rees disembarks on race day.
