GTE PRO
We've managed to secure an update on the #91 Porsche's extra pitstop: a front-left puncture. We're not convinced even the Porsche can do more than an hour between stops, so Makowiecki will now splash-and-dash. Ford has brought Tincknell in from third place for a service and new boots – the #67 car will undoubtedly run to the end now.
LMP1
While the #2 Porsche seems to be in the clear, it's still not got enough of a cushion to deal with anything other than the most incidental of unexpected problems. So while Bernhard will not take any risks, he needs to be mindful of the need to build a bigger safety net.
We're inside the final hour, and here's how the overall standings look at the front:
LMP1
Time for a quick update on the other surviving LMP1 car. Buemi is still circulating in the #8 Toyota but is two laps behind the next LMP2 car - a gap that is too large to bridge with just 50 minutes left on the clock.

LMP2
The #34 Tockwith Ligier had got itself into the top 10 not long ago. But it has dropped back thanks to a problem with the rear brakes that needed to be solved.
LMP1
After that latest pit visit, which all went smoothly for the leader, Bernhard's advantage in the #2 Porsche still stands at 42 seconds.
LMP2
So what are the battles still on in LMP2? The gap between the #35 Signatech ORECA of Negrao and the #13 Rebellion of Piquet is 29.7s, so that's the main area of interest.
Pit stop
In comes Bernhard for what should in theory be the #2 Porsche's final stop of the race.
LMP1
We now have just under an hour to go. Plenty of time for some more drama for Porsche...
LMP1
After that pitstop for Tung, things have become comfortable for Bernhard in the #2 Porsche. His lead is now 1m32s.
Crash
The #24 Manor ORECA has stopped in the fast lane in the pits. That car is currently sixth in LMP2. it's being pushed to its box.
LMP2
The #38 Jackie Chan DC ORECA of Tung has made a stop for fuel.
LMP2
Albuquerque pits in the #32 United Autosports Ligier. He returns to the track still in fifth. That car's had a relatively tidy run.
LMP1
Bernhard is pulling away in the #2 Porsche at an impressive rate of knots with his lead already 11s over Tung.
Crash
Porsche leads the race again! Bernhard breezed past Tung on the run out of the second Mulsanne chicane.
GTE PRO
We're mystified as to why, but Makowiecki has just returned to the pits for a splash of fuel. Our Porsche contacts in the media centre simply shrug.
LMP1
It's down to 18s for Bernhard to find now. Get ready for a new leader!
LMP2
Negrao has had his stop in the #35 Signatech Alpine. It re-emerges still ahead of the #13 Rebellion of Piquet in the battle for second.
LMP1
The gap is now less than half a minute for Bernhard to find to pass Tung for the lead. The Porsche is looking in a strong position with 75 minutes left.
Pit stop
Buemi has just pitted again from ninth - it's looking unlikely the #8 Toyota will gain any more positions before the end of the race.
GTE AM
Balzan, on his out-lap in the #65 Ferrari, has been biffed from behind by Philippon in the #50 Larbre Corvette at the Dunlop Chicane, and is having to drive slowly on a deflated left-rear tyre for almost the whole lap. Philippon is the last classified runner, eight laps down on Balzan, and had no business doing that, even if it was for position.
LMP2
The #38 Jackie Chan DC ORECA of Ho-Pin Tung doesn't have to worry about its class lead being threatened even when, and if, the #2 Porsche takes the outright lead. Tung has a lead of two laps over the #35 Singatech ORECA of Andre Negrao. But the battle for second is close enough to be interesting, with the #13 Rebllion ORECA of Piquet Jr on the same lap.
GTE PRO
The timing of the next Aston pitstop will be crucial, then. If Adam comes in before the turn of the hour, he - or whoever takes the #97 if he gets out - will have to splash-and-dash before the end.
LMP1
The lead gap is continuing to come down at a rapid rate with Bernhard continuing to take around 10s per lap out of Tung.
Pit stop
Do we win a cigar? The #91 Porsche comes in for what will be its penultimate stop.
LMP1
Bernhard has now got the lead gap down to under a minute to Tung in the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA.
GTE PRO
No sooner had we written that than Tincknell came in. Makowiecki also due soon from second place - he last pitted at 12.40.
GTE PRO
Adam is leading GTE Pro again in the #97 Aston, previous leader Taylor having pitted the #63 Corvette from the lead and taken on fresh tyres while handing over to Magnussen. Like the #91 Porsche, this car will now be going to the end on this set of tyres - but they will have 40 minutes' less use. The #63 has emerged in fourth behind the #67 Ford again, but Tincknell is due to stop soon, having last visited the pits (and put on fresh covers) nearly an hour ago.
LMP1
There are now 90 minutes of the race remaining for Bernhard to find 75 seconds to pass Tung for the win.
LMP1
Bernhard has now closed the lead gap to less than 90 seconds. It doesn't look like Tung in the LMP2 Jackie Chan DC Racing car will be leading for much longer.
Stopwatch
We have a new fastest lap of the race! Toyota has just reminded us that it's still in the race with Buemi setting a 3m18.604s which just beats Conway's effort from lap three.

Information
It appears that rather than going into the garage during that stop, the Porsche was put on the jacks to straighten it up after Bernhard arrived at an angle having been compromised by a car in the box before. Apologies for the confusion!
So after stops for both of the lead cars the gap is now 1m40s. Porsche is clearly back in control.
LMP2
The #38 Jackie Chan DC ORECA is in the pits. Tung is now in the car and will bring it home.
Information
Bernhard is back out on track now and the lead gap has gone up to 3m11s.
LMP2
Piquet Jr has passed Negrao to take second place in LMP2.
Information
But there was clearly a change of mind and the car didn't actually go into the garage.
Crash
But Bernhard has now headed to the pits! It's going into the garage!
