Vergne is back in the pits in the #26 G-Drive Racing entry, handing the LMP2 class lead to Brundle, who has completed one less pitstop in the #32 United Autosports car.
According to Porsche, 'proper' rain is expected to fall within the next hour. There hasn't been a significant amount since the track was declared wet 15 minutes ago.
Tatiana Calderon has pitted the all-female #50 Richard Mille Racing car from eighth position in the LMP2 class as the #16 G-Drive entry is now back in the garage after slowing on the track.
The LMP2 class-leading #26 G-Drive car in the hands of Vergne has pitted, while the sister #16 car has slowed on the track again - 2017 LMP2 victor Jarvis is at the wheel.
RAIN reported at the entry to the Porsche Curves. Track is declared wet.
Calado pits the #51 AF Corse and hands over driving duties to Italian racer Pier Guidi. Lynn, who pitted shortly after the safety car restart, has jumped Calado for the GTE Pro race lead.
The #1 Rebellion pits to promote the #8 Toyota back up to second place. Further up the road the leading #7 Toyota is on an out-lap having pitted on schedule, so retains a one-lap advantage.
With Calado at the wheel, the GTE Pro leading #51 AF Corse Ferrari has just clocked 100 laps in the race. The GTE Pro championship leaders (#95 Aston drivers Sorensen and Thiim) are in fourth place, meaning Bird and team-mate Pier Guidi would put themselves firmly in title contention ahead of the season finale in Bahrain in November if they can remain in the lead.
It must be a massive blow for Aubry who, having been tussling for the class lead, finally gets the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing back to the pits but he's already three laps down on the drivers he was battling.
With the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing out of the battle at the front, Vergne in the #26 G-Drive is now fighting Brundle in the #32 United Autosports for the class lead.
Iron Lynx team boss Piccini is back into the lead of GTE Am with Dalla Lana and Yoluc rounding out the top three in the #98 and #90 Astons respectively.
Rigon has brought the #71 AF Corse Ferrari into the pits from third place in GTE Pro and hands over to Molina, who is held on pit exit by the safety car. He remains third as the fourth-place #95 Aston of Thiim also comes into the pitlane.
The green flag is shown as the safety cars head off the track but there is still a slow zone in place on the Mulsanne Straight approaching the first chicane as the barrier repairs are completed.
Another car in trouble is the #16 G-Drive Racing by Algarve currently driven by Jarvis. He had stopped on the track with no power but has got it going again and has returned to the pits.
17 hours on the clock. Fastest laps by class.

LMP1 - #1 Rebellion Racing 3m19.357s
LMP2 - #22 United Autosport 3m29.709s
GTE Pro - #51 AF Corse 3m51.796s
GTE Am - #98 Aston Martin Racing 3m52.449s
The chances of rain appear to be receding. It's not the near-certainty that it was a few hours back. That's bad news for the #8 Toyota. Buemi and co aren't going to gain a lap back in normal dry running unless their team-mates have an issue.
The #4 ByKolles has made it back to the garage. Credit to Spengler as the team must have feared the worst seeing the car in the barrier given its poor record at Le Mans with this car.
The #8 Toyota is back out of the garage and waiting at pitlane exit to return to the action. Nakajima remains in second place but is now one lap down on the sister #7 car in the lead.
Less has changed in GTE Pro than its Am counterpart. Calado still leads the class in the #51 AF Corse-run Ferrari - the 2019 class winners - ahead of Lynn in the #97 Aston and the sister #71 AF Corse of Rigon.
Speaking of GTE Am, this second safety car period benefits those entries that can run their bronze-rated drivers under the safety car conditions. Among those who will benefit will be the current two class leaders Dalla Lana (#98 Aston) and Yoluc in the #90 TF Sport-run Aston.

A reminder that there's a six-hour minimum driving time for bronze-rated drivers at Le Mans.
Erstwhile P2 leader Aubry has stopped on his outlap after pitting in the Chan/DC car.
Further drama in LMP1 as the #8 Toyota is wheeled into the garage with extensive work going on to the front-right of Nakajima's car. There has been an ongoing issue with the brake ducts with the car.
We're waiting for things to shake out but the GTE Am leading #75 Iron Lynx and the polesitting #61 Luzich Racing Ferrari are among those held in the pits.
This is going to be a prolonged safety car. They're cutting out the damaged barrier on the entry to the first chicane on the Mulsanne.
TV replays show the rear wing of the ByKolles flying off with Spengler heading down the hill at La Chapelle. Spengler has got the car going again and is trying to get back to the pits with a very damaged rear.
In an unrelated incident to the ByKolles crash, the #30 Duqueine Team with Gommendy at the controls has crashed approaching the first chicane on the Mulsanne Straight.
Bad news for ByKolles fans, as the #4 has crashed at the Dunlop curve with Spengler at the wheel which has triggered a second safety car period.
Iron Lynx team boss Piccini has bolted clear at the front of the GTE Am field, his advantage over the second-place Aston - in the hands of Dalla Lana - has risen to nearly 10 seconds.
That was a 13-lap stint from Lopez. Obviously you don't use as much fuel in behind the safety car as in normal running. The Equivalence of Technology has been calculated so that the hybrid Toyotas and the privateer LMP1s can each do 11 laps under normal running. There's nothing to say you can't go longer.
Nakajima has pitted on schedule, still out of sync with the sister Toyota, which gives the lead back to the #7 driven by Lopez. Two class lead changes in quick succession.
Rigon's fall down the GTE Pro order in the #71 Ferrari entry has continued, he's now lost second place to Lynn in the #97 Aston.
Vergne vs Aubry for the lead in LMP2 and Vergne gets ahead on the run down to Mulsanne corner. Hard to tell in the darkness but it looks like the Formula E star profited from on-track traffic to get ahead of the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing driver.
Nakajima has pitted the #8 Toyota and Lopez moves back into the lead in the sister car.
Calado has moved the #51 AF Corse Ferrari into the lead of GTE Pro after overtaking the sister #71 Ferrari.
The shutters have come down on the #55 Spirit of Race Ferrari. ELMS regular Cameron crashed earlier in the race and has spent the last hour in the garage.
G-Drive hot shoe Verge is closing in on Aubry for the P2 lead. Don't forget that Aubry is the 'am' in the Chan/DC line-up. He's a silver, though definitely in the 'silver worth his weight in gold' category
