Vickers fastest in final practice
Hendrick Motorsport's Brian Vickers topped the final Nextel Cup practice session before tomorrow's Gatorade Duel Races, ahead of the Daytona 500
Vickers' time of 46.946 seconds was the fastest of the week so far, recorded as the teams work on race set-ups for tomorrow's big event and practice in the aerodynamic draft.
Mike Wallace, who has not yet guaranteed himself a start in Sunday's prestigious Daytona 500, was second quickest, ahead of 2004 Daytona 500 pole-sitter Greg Biffle, who was third fastest.
Dale Jarrett and Matt Kenseth made it three Fords in the top five fastest runners, ahead of an impressive time posted by rookie Clint Bowyer in the number 7 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
