Kyle Busch on top at Daytona
Kyle Busch continued Chevrolet's position at the top of the speeds on the second day of testing this week at Daytona International Speedway
Busch followed on from where teammate Jeff Gordon left off last week, setting a lap of 188.119 mph on Tuesday to go over a mile an hour faster than anyone else could on Tuesday.
Second fastest was rookie Clint Bowyer in a Richard Childress Chevrolet, with Bowyer's teammate Kevin Harvick third fastest.
The only non-Chevrolet in the top eight speeds was Dale Jarrett in the new Ford Fusion with the fourth fastest speed, who will be trying to win his fourth Daytona 500 next month.
Jarrett believes the switch from the Taurus to the Fusion will make a difference at Daytona.
"I believe that with the change to the Fusion that that's gonna allow the Fords to get themselves in a position to be more of a factor in the Daytona 500 this year," Jarrett said, who sat on the Daytona 500 pole last year.
"I think that I'm correct in saying that a Ford hasn't won since we did that in 2000, and I think if you look back you probably won't see many laps led by a Ford during that time."
Testing wraps up on Wednesday, with teams focusing on how their cars behave in packs as they test their cars in multi-car drafts.
