Harvick steals Richmond win

Kevin Harvick took a last-gasp victory in Saturday night's Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond International Raceway with a pass on Kyle Busch the second-last lap

Harvick took the lead as the duo negotiated traffic to take the victory, securing both drivers' place in the Chase. The duo had dominated the race, leading most of the race between them, Busch leading over half the race.

Harvick's win followed on from his win the previous night in the Busch race, with a relatively low number of cautions leaving only the top fourteen runners on the lead lap at the finish.

Kasey Kahne, who began the race outside the top ten in points, made his way into the Chase with a third place finish. Dave Blaney and Mark Martin completed the top five places.

Kahne's good news meant there had to be bad news for someone else. Tony Stewart, who started 40th, moved up the order and finished in 18th, but with all the other Chasers making it to the finish, Stewart missed out by 16 points, despite poor finishes for Dale Earnhardt Jr and Jeff Gordon in 17th and 31st respectively.
