Hamlin on Texas Busch pole

Denny Hamlin set the fastest time in qualifying to take his first career Busch pole for Saturday's O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway

Hamlin edged out Reed Sorenson, both drivers running a full season in Busch in combination with their Nextel Cup duties.

Nextel Cup runners dominate the top ten, with David Green the odd driver out in fifth place. Three Roush cars made the top six, with Matt Kenseth in third, Mark Martin in fourth and Greg Biffle in sixth.

Points leader Kevin Harvick qualified in the middle of the field in 21st place, while his closest challenger JJ Yeley will start near the rear, in 35th.
