Earnhardt dominates Daytona Busch
Dale Earnhardt Jr was dominant as he took victory in Friday night's Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway
Earnhardt Jr took the lead in the early stages and managed to open up a ten-second lead just after mid-race pit stops, an unheard of margin in restrictor-plate racing.
But a series of cautions in the second half of the race, including a short red flag, meant that Earnhardt Jr's victory margin was much smaller. However, even when drivers teamed up against him he was still too good and took the win.
Brian Vickers, points leader Kevin Harvick and pole sitter JJ Yeley completed a Chevrolet sweep of the top four placings.
Ford's Carl Edwards finished fifth despite being held a lap for over-aggressive driving when he tapped Michael Waltrip heading into turn three, Waltrip spinning with other cars piling into the wreckage.
Edwards' fifth place moved him into second place in the title chase after Denny Hamlin suffered damage in the incident between Edwards and Waltrip.
