Brack hints at Daytona drive

CART star Kenny Brack has admitted his interest in racing in the NASCAR Winston Cup with his new team Ganassi Racing

Brack said his involvement in the International Race of Champions (IROC) series has created his interest in NASCAR Winston Cup racing, but says he has other priorities to attend to first.

"I am interested in Winston Cup racing, but right now I'm in the middle of the CART championship, I'll do the full series again in CART and the Indy 500," said Brack, who moves to Ganassi's squad next year, which also runs Dodges in the Winston Cup. "If something else is added as a bonus that will be great. But that has yet to be determined.

"I raced a few stock cars in Europe, but not on an oval track, they were European road cars. I'm always interested in any series that has close and tough competition and NASCAR has that. Of course, a lot of drivers are interested in running at Daytona. I get along good with the stock car guys in IROC and have adapted well to them, so it's something that is intriguing," he added.

The Swede believes that if Ganassi gives him the opportunity to drive a Dodge in next year's Daytona 500, it would be an opportunity he couldn't pass up.

"For now, the very clear answer is that I will drive CART and the Indy 500 for Chip next year," he added. "If there is a bonus added to that, then no one will be happier than me. I'm sure they will have a lot on their plate already with their drivers so we will wait and see."
