Jousse scores first F2 pole

Julien Jousse scored his maiden Formula 2 pole position in this afternoon's qualifying session for the second race of the weekend at Donington Park

The 23-year-old had previously qualified inside the top six five times this year but was yet to start higher than fourth. But he found the pace to lead the way in the final 10 minutes of today's half-hour session.

Jousse will be joined on the front row by Sebastian Hohenthal, who also posted his best qualifying performance of the season so far after topping this morning's practice session.

Mirko Bortolotti pulled a late effort out of the bag to claim third on the grid, ahead of the ever-consistent Kazim Vasiliauskas.

Edoardo Piscopo will share the third row with championship leader Andy Soucek, while Mikhail Aleshin, Robert Wickens, Tobias Hegewald and Philipp Eng completed the top 10.
