Pedrosa tops wet third practice

The third MotoGP free practice session for this weekend's Dutch TT at Assen was run on a wet track with the order changing throughout before Dani Pedrosa went quickest with his last lap

The times tumbled in the last 10 minutes of the session as a dry line began to emerge on the circuit, although Pedrosa's best effort was still three seconds off the pace set by Casey Stoner in the dry yesterday.

Randy De Puniet was second fastest, having sat at the top of the timesheet for the first half of the session when the circuit was at its wettest, with Pedrosa's teammate Nicky Hayden completing and all-Honda top three.

James Toseland, Casey Stoner and Alex De Angelis completed the top six, with championship leader Valentino Rossi seventh.

Rossi's Fiat Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso and Colin Edwards filled the last three places when none of the trio set competitive lap times on the drying circuit at the end of the session.
