Honda's Marquez says finger now '100 per cent' for French MotoGP

Honda's reigning world champion fell when training on a motocross bike and was then accidentally run over by a friend, causing a hand fracture that was .

He finished second at Jerez despite pain from the injury, and says he is now fully fit.

"Here we can say that the finger is already at 100 per cent," said Marquez.

"OK, it's a little bit bigger than usual... but I have power in it, which was the biggest problem at Jerez."

Yamaha has won three of the first four grands prix of 2015, but Marquez believes changes Honda tried in the Jerez post-race test could help with the rear grip issues that .

"We did a couple of laps in the test and we tried a few things," he said.

"Now here we have some things to try to improve with, especially on the exit of the corner."

Although he is 26 points behind championship leader Valentino Rossi and fourth in the standings, the 2013 and '14 champion said the fact Honda had been competitive everywhere left him relaxed about the deficit.

"Last year I arrived here in a completely different position," admitted Marquez, who was 28 points clear of his rivals and unbeaten heading into last year's French GP, during a winning streak that did not end until last August's Czech round.

"This year I'm fourth in the championship, 26 points behind Valentino, but still we have 14 races so there's not a panic inside the team.

"We'll continue as we are now because we know have a good level [of performance]."

Honda's other rider Dani Pedrosa also arrives at Le Mans confident of improved fitness, as he returns after a six-week absence for surgery to address a persistent arm pump problem.
