FIM reveals 2008 entry list

Casey Stoner will take the number one for his Ducati Marlboro bike next year, motor cycling's governing body confirmed on Friday

In the official entry list revealed by the FIM, Stoner was confirmed as taking number one, with his teammate Marco Melandri opting to retain his traditional number 33.

There were few other surprises on the list, with Nicky Hayden returning to his customary number 69 next year - having had number one this year after winning the 2006 MotoGP championship. Valentino Rossi will once again be number 46.

The fate of Team Roberts remains uncertain with the bike and riders labelled as to be advised.
